Do you know if that service is using the regular menu prices or the inflated Grab prices please?

I do like the idea of having to speak to a real body. Trying to put instructions into an app often result in instructions being ignored, which can be disasterous for a fussy eater like me.

Regular menu prices. I would guess they are using grab express for the delivery but not sure.

Taking this thread on a food delivery tangent, but it didn't seem worth starting a new thread.

There's been steady rain all morning, and I'll be travelling to Ratchaburi soon. I won't get back until late, so need something substantial to eat at lunchtime. We decided that rather than get wet, we'd order in. We placed an order with Grab at 12 o'clock. They accepted the order, but then continually displayed the message 'waiting for drivers'. Fair enough, they don't want to get wet either - don't blame them.

Now the bit that P's me off - we have been trying to cancel the order, but get the message 'Can't cancel, waiting for drivers.' FFS I could be in Ratchaburi before they try to deliver. They will not let us cancel, even though they can't provide a service.

I am going off the food delivery service very fast. We made an order, they can't deliver because its raining - we'll receive our order at a time that suits Grab. I'm sure the dogs won't be complaining though :banghead:

I will update this thread when I get back from Ratchaburi, advising what time my lunch arrived.

It wasn't raining inside the restaurant so I bet the order was already prepared and waiting for pick-up therefore the refusal to cancel. Hope it wasn't hot food?

If they can't deliver, they shouldn't accept the order :cuss:

There we go - it arrived at 13:40. A special treat for the dogs today :banghead:

Meanwhile, I had to settle for a sausage and egg sandwich.

Could said food not have been stuck in the fridge to be reheated later rather than giving it to the dogs :D

Besides the point, I know. Any delivery over the 'maximum expected' time (think its about 50 minutes) in the uk I can usually get free or heavily discounted.

Anything over half hour I start getting a bit pissed off, am impatient :D
