What to bring.....
All went through customs no problem, no import taxes. Mid you I had a call from shipping agenmt the day before delivery to say the customs men wabted 2,500 to share between them. Tarnsferred it over goods arrived. DOnt really know if he had it or the customs had it but I figured 2,500 was fine to get things through straight away. Nothing in cases opened or checked as far as I could tell

things to bring
The only thing we found expensive to buy and not much choice of was bedding. everything else was cheaper hear than UK. Electricals about the same.
You're right Niggle. There's nothing Tesco carries anywhere over here that's worth buying in terms of sheets and pillow cases. They are all rough and scratchy feeling. Pillows and comforters are OK from Tesco if you buy the high end. Index, at least this side, has some very good bed high end linen, but it's exactly that, expensive. Good cotton, good thread count, soft and confortable. Probably imported. I'm sure in Bangkok you can find satin or anything else.niggle wrote:I agree, linen - as in bedsheets pillowcases is exhorbitantly high unless you go for the cheaper crappier end. When we holiday in UK we will be bringing bedlinen back as a priority
Here's a good question....those of us raised in the west usually had a bottom and top sheet. Here, it's just not the custom. Have you adapted to just a comforter on top, or still looking for non-fitted top sheets? Pete
