Hin Nam Sai Suay is still the best 4 me when i want to go and check out a nightclub. Can be lucky here if u are a nice guy. But must watch who u are talking to as to not upset the thai guys. The dancers there are some of the most attractive girls around the area and make the hilton girls look second rate.

Luknam is up the pala u road. If you head up towards the elephant village its on the right just as the hill starts to get slightly steeper, it has a big sign out the front that says 'country pub'
As you approach it, on your left you will pass a lot of Thai style Karoke bars. Its a big place and they get some top bands playing there. I saw Caribow there last year. What a night. Very Thai style though so bring some ear plugs...

Mainly Thai music but if there are farangs about they lapse into heavy rock (deep purple and Led Zep)

The boss/manager plays the bongos and speaks good english

one good tip about Hin Nam Sai Suay. i must defenitely visit it when i come to HH. any other venues in that same style?

The Luknam's house band are excellent, but at the end of the day its a Thai roadhouse.

If you want to listen to crap music and see 50 year olds jostling with 20 year olds, wait 15 minutes for a warm beer to turn up, and potentially get in a scrap with a pissed farang go to the Hilton.

If y want to go deaf but rock out whilst doing it and have a good night hit the Luknam, ask the singer for Bua Loi, and order a beer with ice....it gets there in 5 mins usually.

While the Hilton is more expensive than the bars etc. I always really enjoy it there, have had some great fun nights there.

ive been to luknam a few times and everytime ive really enjoyed it,only problem is dodging the moterbike on your way home

Do you know there's this nice local disco "Stepz", gets crowded in the night, there's a coyote dancing karaoke beside this disco.
