The posts here are pretty accurate for a Hua Hin budget. If you restrict your vices the cost of living plummets down quite dramatically.
If you're after a chick every night then there are places where you can arrange a monthly 'allowance' which works out to be far, far cheaper than 1000+ baht every night.
As they say here in LOS: Up to you!:)

Thanks Rider!
A very interesting and somewhat unexpected post! In the sense you mention it's possible to arrange a "monthly discount" for companionship

I'm very unllikely to have a 'need for a chick every night' BUT if there are places who are prepared to make some kinda 'deal' - assuming you're considered a regular customer - then please share those places with me.

If you would be breaching any rules (?) by posting names of the bars/clubs offering preferential rates then please PM me the details - thanks!!

I expect there are a few other members here who would like the same info too!!

Thanks again Rider!! :thumb:

bradders,

Not that I partake myself, but I have also seen the bar fine reduced substantially for a long term rental.

Companionship can be found just about anywhere not just in bars.
In bars its highly doubtful discounts will be offered just because you return once or twice though you may get a warmer, less mechanical and more personal service.
The "discount" is for an extended contract which generally should include housekeeping services, food shopping and preparation, translation, negotiations in Thai, shower scrubs, driving (if needed) etc. etc.

As I understood these issues it would be more of a private arrangement with the parties involved rather than some kind of frequent flyer scheme.
However I’ve been in a stable relationship for some years and perhaps these things have progressed, with some kind of ‘Star Alliance’ affair. Perhaps you can use your ‘miles and more’ points!

Essentially it is like that.

I won't go into details but believe me, once you speak the lingo the negotiations can reach into the nitty gritty of all kinds of stuff.

I can say no more than that but bradders I am PM'ing you.

Steve - being a "Star Alliance" member of considerable standing having amassed many air miles over the years I would be interested in joining up to the "Binterbhat alliance" Not sure how it will work but keen to know if I can upgrade from economy to business, or even first class, assuming I have amassed sufficient bar fines.

hmm...star alliance scheme...would that be the "We help you make your connection!" part?

do you also get this message when you try to get an upgrade award?
you get re-directed to one of the following:
-"added comfort" page -OR to the "we are happy to offer you the service you said you wanted most"
-section "find more details"
-your card login is not correct, try again later
-more carriers to join in the upcoming months
-round the world calculator
-you are on priority waiting list
-you are on priority stand-by
-priority baggage handling
-earn more points
-attaining next level status
-please note: only for certain tickets
-applies only for certain dates
-only where available
-status levels vary among programmes

...anyway, you DO get 20kg for free! (.. if you save your receipts for further upgrades)

I notice on the Lufthansa site it has the following listed under spending miles- “A treasure trove of beautiful and practical things that simply give you pleasure.â€

The enterprising Bar owners could also consider low season specials like "buy 4 get 1 free"

Don't you guys remember the sign on the fridge in Road Hole Bar saying: Free Drinks Tomorrow.
I never managed to get one though.
I intend to live forever - so far so good.

Buy 1 get 4 free would be better...

Or as an entrepreneur, you can turn this around as a business venture do the whole sale deals with the suppliers, lets say you buy 40 get 15 free and sell 40/11 range.

All a side, this is real people you are talking about not lemons. :(
