Jesus......reading that lot it sounds even worse than I thought (and that would take something).

I know the newspapers always print splatter stories but it sounds like the sodding Lebanon in the 70s.....

as I said.....NAROK

Guys we should be encouraging stories like that rag print.....god help us if this starts to spread this side of the bay

Interesting point, it is actually very difficult to find any real news in Hua Hin as the powers that be clamp down on any reporting that may tarnish Hua Hin's idyllic image which is why the English language print publications for this town are lame propaganda machines to say the least.

Anyway back to topic ...

H there Y'all

Hmm.... The Newsstyle of reporting remind me of the style used by local News on the Local Channels in Los Angeles. Vack to Topic: Seriously should we beleive this piece of opinion could tarnish Poperty value here in Hua Hin? I think not We all know what we all like of Hua Hin and many of the Thai Elitesdo have thier weekend homes here which should speak for itself/
I consider Pattaya as an Miami type Spring break Destination which raeks and ooses of those Type of crazy people.
Where as Hua Hin is more upscale with certain degree of night life but more cozy laid back atmosphere Like the Town of Playa Del Sol on the Spanish Riviera!
WHat I like too about Hua HIn its relatively unknown to the eastern European crowd which had all over Pattaya right now even in the Hotels/ I hope this stays that way!

Just never forget that it is still Thailand, and you'll be ok.

Slander proof  Hua Hin Today is run by a nice guy who has impressed the Thai authorities so much and they give him authority to make sure all his customers are looked after. Everything they write is in joined up English and they have inside knowledge of the real truth of Hia Hin (and Pattaya), so enjoy and read.

sleaze? what sleaze?

Pattaya today wrote: "Hua Hin (which also has its bars and its sleaze and its fair quota of low-end perving tourists). More lifestyle choices are available here than in Hua Hin."

I fail to find the sleaze here. Could someone please direct me. No naked pole dancers,. . . that I have found, no dog and pony shows, no ping pong, etc  a few aggressive ladyboys maybe. . . but where's the sleaze?

"More 'lifestyle' choices. Me thinks this is nothing but PC talk for what used to be called perversion.

^ It actually seems to be perfect use of the concept of irony to me. 8)

 Dawn / HHS you are both correct - yes it was an attempt at irony and yes I was over the legal limit!

I think HHAD should have something like a breathalizer test to warn you before contributing. Some kind of test to show your in a fit state and of sound mind to post. Any suggestions welcome? Abstinence is not an option.

Fit state of mind? If that was required, there'd be no posters on HHAD.

Lots of cred there, they print only the news that fills the spaces between the ads. Sometimes they even spell things correctly.
So a marginal improvement on Hua Hin Today then ... which makes great toilet paper by the way.
Can't agree with you there buks,
I found the paper much too thick and stiff. I also wound up with estate agent ads all over my keester!
