Sandman

Yes it has been doing the rounds a while.

But then all places don't get all of the new inventions all at once do they?I can plainly remember my town getting TV, it was a big event and that was in 1952. So the fact that it had been out for a while and was old stuff to many it was new to me.

But then I don't think 58 is old as I am 74.

But you are right a email someone sent me some time back and I thought it was interesting if not real accurate. To lazy to edit it. :D You get that way is you get older. Born during the great depression, but don't remember anything about it. Do however remember the second world war. Things have changed a lot, many for the worse (including my memory).

But then you wonder how the hell the world got along without the cell phone and the internet.

"Takeaway food? Delivered by taxi?"

Nobody delivered in those days so if you wanted a chinese/indian/fish & chips delivered you had to phone a taxi firm to pick it up for you .

After we told a friends older brother what we had done he phoned the guy and asked to speak to mr wall

"erm I think you have the wrong number"

"is mrs wall there ? "

"Nope"

"Are there any walls at this address ? "

"NO"

"Then whats holding the F*****G roof up ?

:cuss: again .

Highly amusing when you are 11 years old .
