For the DIY home improvement folks: HP is very expensive. I found a little hardware/home improvement shop on pala u road, right hand side heading west, before luknam pub. Great people in there, and very helpful. Good selection of tools (elec and hand) and enough blue pipe and fittings to run a pipeline to Phuket. :thumb:

Mutton. Now there's a thought. If there is a supplier, I'll be able to cook my Rogan Josh correctly rather than "cheating" and putting in chicken or pork.
On good shops, I'm impressed with "The Baguette" which is on Petchkasem Road, opposite and about a 100 meters north of the Tansamai shop. I generally get a round, wholemeal German loaf and a simple white loaf for a little over 100 Baht. If I get there around 9am, the bread can still be warm.
The location suits me as it's within walking distance and they might even give Sarge a run for his money with his home baked stuff :thumb:

On the topic of getting what you want, I notice there is an increasing number of Muslims in Hua Hin and as they tend to eat mutton/lamb rather than pork, does anyone know where they get it from?

Would love a few lamb chops or a good mutton curry but just can't afford to pay for imported lamb and of course I would prefer to support local supply.
This subject came up some time ago, and would be in the achives that were transfered with the recent change of server.
There is supposedly a Muslim community somewhere not far North of where you are Takiap. It was said that you could buy mutton direct from them. Also, I believe that it was mentioned that a couple of the resturants in town have a regular supplier, but again this info is no longer here.

Buksida, you wrote an address to access the old achives, can we have it again please, as I cannot find it. Or post it as a sticky, thanks.

Thank you Big Boy, knew that I could rely on you.

However, the only reference that I could find was a mention by Randy that he came across the Village whilst riding around on his pushbike. Maybe you could mention it again Randy C, if you happen to see this.
