I don't know what it is with the British and cocker spaniels? Back in California in the 80's we transferred quite a few families over from our London office to work in SF and they all had cocker spaniels???

I thought bull dogs and bull terriers were the true British dog?

These cockers were full of themselves as well. Was invited to a few Christmas dinners at their houses, and besides having to pretend to like brussel sprouts, the dogs would sit there and stare and growl at us? Maybe because we didn't like brussel sprouts? Pete

PS: The British youngsters were great though. They ripped the guts out of our AYSO soccer teams and set us on the correct course of how to coach the American kids in the sport.

My son bought a pug for his wife the Christmas before last and paid 1000 pound She has spent a fortune on designer items for her ( Miss Pugley ). Every Thursday Miss Pugley is sent to a baby sitter when my daughter in law goes to work.

:D
I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges

We have an old Cocker, Burt, whom we've had for about 2 years. I could have rehomed him about 20 times. Unfortunately he has behavioural problems (he bites strangers) & now he has bilateral cataracts, & so, is going blind.

Amazing how people STILL want to take him when they see him, but the Thai dogs they won't even glance at. I really don't understand it. I love Burt, but I'm used to his ways now. I'd never trust him with a stranger. I guess designer dogs will always be in demand. :?

Dawn, I never understood this thing with pedigree dogs in Thailand either, Thai dogs rule!
I’m back in town next week and have to go up to Issan, so I will get as much rice back for the dogs as I can manage.

Nereus wrote:Dawn, I was just reading somewhere a couple of days ago that the promoters of the "Dog Show" at Impact Arena in Bangkok, donated
380k Baht to the Hua Hin municipality last December, for the purpose of building a "dog shelter". Is that correct, and is that going to help you at all?
I don't know if it's correct, but they are going to be rebuilding their place. No, it won't help us at all. We're 2 separate organisations.
