It will get worse before it gets better - so believe the EU will come to their senses but it may not be until the evening of 31st October!!!

I can trump that, stayed at the Premier Inn in T4 last month and a pint of bitter cost £3.20

I'll be back in Terminal 5 for a few hours next week (or days if BA are on strike) and a few more days of Boris will make it cheaper than a bottle of Chang in Hua Hin.

In the UK at the moment living off my Kasikorn Visa card and pretty much everything (groceries, food, drink, clothing, electronics, online shopping, car rental etc) is now cheaper than the equivalent in Thailand. The Pound Shop is party land!

The main exceptions are fuel and accommodation. It is a good time to go if you have baht to spend!

Hmm I am coming the other way next week. The prospect of nearly 3 quid for a small bottle of beer in Bintabaht doesnt put me off. But I feel for those retired there on UK pensions. It can only get better.

It may well hit 35 baht to the pound before they figure out the direction of the UK (and Europe for the next 5 years too) and then it will go back up a bit. Markets hate uncertainty and that's all we have at the moment because of how polarized things are. Doesn't matter which way individuals think on Brexit (leave or remain) but also the EU, as a whole, is also in a time of power handover/change also ... it's the uncertainty that markets hate. If someone actually decides things either way then it would be fine ... trouble is that both main parties in the UK are in disarray. All they need to do is decide a trade deal and taking Canada +++ off the shelf is good enough in the short term as it would get rid of 95% or more of tariffs. What the fcuk is wrong with that? Guess egos are getting in the way.

Edit - Typos and tidying up

The Thai economy will also get so bad that the Baht weakens irrespective of what the rest of the world is doing. The Baht is getting stronger even on bad news but this won’t last forever.

I've always said with Brexit, it going to be 35. But, unfortunately it might hit 32 or even lower.
That's it really.
To all those who voted leave and live here, well.... you should have known better.
And to those who come from the UK, I don't care and I think you all might be thinking about your inflation in due course.

Take heart - the €uro is circling the ceramic and will soon have an economic illiterate directing the €CB.

The market's seem to warm to the chaos in the UK just now. GBP has risen from 36.6 to 37.92 in just under 2 weeks. Let's hope it continues.
