Change of teams and back to our favourite subject of penalties and diving. I haven't seen the incident but in the game between Villa and Southampton, the referee awarded a penalty to Southampton and there was clearly a difference of opinion between the two camps on whether or not it was a correct decision. villa manager Paul Lambert was incensed saying that no contact had been made and apparently confirmed in replays of the incident. Southampton's manager could say no more than:

"And while conceding that the two players "probably" had not come together, Southampton manager Nigel Adkins echoed his skipper's sentiments. He said: "For me, there is probably no contact, but if the player had not moved their leg away there would have been contact".

So there we have it, if his player had not moved his leg away there would have been contact and maybe, then a penalty would have been the correct decision. What a load of *******!!

On MOTD, the player 'fouled' obviously felt guilty, as after he got up, the cameras showed him repeatedly saying, "I didn't dive, I' didn't dive" to whoever was adjudged to have fouled him! Seems like the same drivel that Bale came out with, about 'anticipation'.

Villa look woeful and I can't see them staying up.

Suarez and Gerrard very subdued tonight.....when United went 2-0 up after 50 minutes they should have been three or four goals to the good,on chances.
But Cleverleys careless pass set up a tense final 30 minutes.Liverpool and Sturridge,in particular, had their chances but overall United deserved their win.

Arsenal v Citeh on now.....Koscielny sent off after 8 minutes for a foul that would have graced the Rugby Union World Cup Finals.....City missed the penalty but now leading 2-0 after 30 minutes.

Liverpool were very timid in the 1st half and overall Manu worthy winners. What got me was Gary Neville on Sky nominating Danny Welbeck as man of the match? I must have been watching a different player.

Theres no doubt Welbeck tries very hard, indeed runs his socks off,but always strikes me as a bit of a clumsy player at the highest level.I was surprised he started instead of Hernandez last night.
I thought Rafael and Kagawa were Uniteds star men yesterday.

Very disappointing for Arsenal but if your central defender makes a stupid tackle like that in the first 8 minutes what do you expect ?

I'm not sure why Man U fans spend so much time crowing, as their side is a mere shadow of most of their teams over the last 15 years or so. They are extremely fortunate (I could end the sentence there really! ) that all of the other top teams are looking pretty mediocre this season. When (if) the wind-bag retires, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them do a Liverpool. (Oh, wouldn't that be luvverly! :naughty: )

Case in point, Spurs at QPR. Plenty of huffing and puffing, but no inspiration, so a game we should have won comfortably ends up a one-sided draw. Again. Still, Man U next weekend, so that's an easy 3 points in the bag...

Case in point, Liverpool. What the feck Allen and Lucas are doing in the side is anybody's guess, but they are 2 of a number of players who would struggle for a place in any of the top 10 sides. And yet they still nearly embarrassed Man U at Old Trafford.

Case in point, Arsenal. Still bitter about van Persie and still nowhere near replacing him. And not apparently trying very hard to do so... :?

Chelsea are doing ok, but then again, they let themselves get beat 0-1 by QPR!

I could go on, but I'm starting to bore myself...
This is the way

Thank goodness we'll have the special one back at the Bridge next year. The current one can go back to being a waiter. How have we lost so much at the Bridge in such a short time? And why wasn't Terry playing now he's fit? Tosser.

Pep Guardiola is taking over as manager of Bayern Munich,at the end of the season  ,so Jose would appear to be your only decent option now !

He always wasa our only decent option. I've now seen Saints goals, well taken, both of them, but shocking defending, especially for the 1st.

Like Guardiola would go to that basket case of a club.

He's joined a bigger, better club.

And DM, tbf Lucas is getting his game and fitness back.

Nope, just a manager who beats Ranieri as the 'tinkerman'.

His team selection against QPR was a joke. To win that game would have put us a point behind City, his selection was widely criticised by fans and critics alike. For Gawds sake, we're out of europe, likely as not out the league cup, lets consistently pick our best team. Its not bloody hard.

And he's so patronising, talking about how the players are 'learning' in training - WTF!

All he has to do is keep things simple and he'd win the fans over and win more games. With the players at his disposal, it can't be that hard, or shouldn't be, should it?
