IMO, TrueMoveH XL or XXL POST PAID plans...
1) XL is 899 Baht/mth with 3GB's of 3G at 7.2Mbps speeds reverting to 343Kbps after you've used the 3GB's.
2) XXL is 999 Baht/mth with 5GBs of 3G at 7.2Mbps speeds reverting to 343Kbps after you've used the 5GB's.
You get something like 300 voice mins, 300 SMS & 50 MMS included in these packages.

There's also a 1,699 Baht/mth plan with 10GB of 3G... although it's listed on the following chart of PRE-PAID plans, not sure if it's available post paid.

Note: These are PRE-PAID plans, not post-paid...

I do the 12Call 790 baht unlimited on the S2, no minutes or texts or anything, they take 790 baht off your credit and you've got unlimited 3G for a month.

Websites are not noticeably slower than England, Videos fine, even went on an online game I play and was all in working order.

BaaBaa, are you sure that's unlimited 3G for the month at the 7.2Mpbs speed, or what they providers term as 'Unlimited 3G@7.2Mbps until you reach 2/3/5GB's of usage, reverting to unlimited 3G@ 343Kbps' ??

If it is true unlimited at the faster speed I'd be interested in it providing call charges are OTT. What's the package called?

Interesting, they may have changed the packages. HERE

I just ring up and tell them to give me the unlimited package, never noticed a drop in speed and do alot of browsing, them specialist sites you like run fine.

Can somebody please give this Tune in Radio a spin and tell me how BBC Stations run on 3G.

Also SJ, you said you don't like clutter on your homescreen, have a look at Minimalistic Text

Yeah I don't think any provider will give unlimited at the fast speeds any longer, they all employ this 'Fair Usage Policy' because of people tethering and torrenting.

Use that now, it's class except twice now I've had it just dissapear off the screen even though the app is still there. Might be when it updates!? Takes an age to set up again.

PS: You can make the area where the minimalistic text is a shortcut function for whatever.

Yeah, that's the best bit.

Two of the best homescreens I've seen using it, the StarWars one is genius.

As BaaBaa. has been an excellent source of information, I thought I would follow his advice. I relayed the information to my (Thai) daughter, and she said that we needed to visit Telewiz on 3rd floor of Market Village. We duly marched down there earlier today - it was a truly warm welcome to Thailand ie:

- Samsung Galaxy SII from UK will not work. I explained that I knew somebody else who had purchased the same as mine, and his works well.

- Can you give us his phone number so that we can check out what he really has? No.

- Can you show us ID? I produced my passport. Sorry, unlimited package is only open to Farang who have been resident in Thailand for at least 3 months. The person I know who already has the package is not resident, only a regular visitor. They didn't believe me.

I ended up buying a smaller package, with an instruction to go back when I've been here 3 months!

That's a loud of rubbish BB.

What's telewiz and why did you have to go there? Is that the official AIS shop near Banana IT etc?

Just put enough credit on your phone and call the service centre 1175, or there's even codes you just text.

Telewiz are apparently the creme de la creme when it comes to 1-2-Call.

Personally, I think when she saw my bank balance (my daughter presented my bank book as proof of my address), she thought she would help spend some of it for me. I was having none of it - I ended up opting for the cheapest package that would give me what I needed for a month - the bitch got her own back on me though. She locked the phone out of the internet after showing me that everything was fine. My daughter took it back, and was told that as I'd bought such a cheap Charlie package (actually double the size of my UK package), she didn't want to risk me accessing the internet by accident :banghead:

Still, it's a big welcome to Thailand :D I'm sure it'll get worse  I wouldn't have it any other way.

That's the same document she was working to BaaBaa. I opted for the 350Baht package, which actually cost me 650Baht with the extras I needed :?

What extras? You paid for an Internet package and she disabled it? WTF is going on?

You just needed to buy a sim from the seven, top it up, and call 1175.

No idea where the need for a bank statement has come from.

Maybe they think I'm going to start transferring all of Thailand's wealth out of the country with the phone ...................... of course, any ill-intentions will have been long forgotten in 3 months time - I will have been assimilated into the collective :?

It does go to show the amount of clueless shite they'll speak for no apparent reason though.

Firstly that the phone won't work, which is a figment of her imagination, then selling you an Internet package anyway but disabling it because she felt like it. :?

Seriously, WTF? :lach:
