Goal from last Saturday. I fear it looks as though Anucha was offside at the start of the counter attack.

Re: UHT Vana Nava Hua Hin City FC 2015
Remember there is home game at Fort Thanarat today (7th February) with a 3.30 kick off against Krungthon FC!!!
I noticed on the club website that the fixture list is out but it is in Thai. Can somebody please translate it and post it on here in English. It appears that the first game is against Thonburi and although it is a home game it will be played at Tai Yong near Petchaburi because of the incident at the end of last season. Can this be confirmed also? Cheers. See you at the game today.

Yes, I noticed the fixtures, but decided to wait until they are published in English. They've done it for the other 2 leagues, so it shouldn't be long.
I will ask the question about next week's game in a minute. Hopefully will be able to update you at the match this afternoon.

Here you go, I asked about fixtures in English as well. The reply was:

>> penalty last season
not use home 2 match in new season
and match table please wait ^ ^

Re: UHT Vana Nava Hua Hin City FC 2015
Thanks BB, I was about to list the first few fixtures but you've saved me the hassle! So 29th of March before a league game at Thanarat. Can only assume we've been forced to play the 2 games at a neutral venue as opposed to "closed doors"
I stay to the north of Hua Hin, so in terms of distance there's probably not much in it for me between Thanarat and Tha Yang

Re: UHT Vana Nava Hua Hin City FC 2015
Getting to Tha Yang is absolutely no bother - better than 2 games behind closed doors.
My fear is Davy's recent experience trying to find the Petchaburi vs Hua Hin friendly that was played in Tha Yang. I hope they give good directions. I'm currently assuming its the football ground you see on your left, just before Tha Yang as you travel North.

Re: UHT Vana Nava Hua Hin City FC 2015
The stadium at Tha Yang is a bit more compact than Fort Thanarat , if indeed it is the one on the left hand side as indicated by Big Boy. It looks a decent playing surface but the seating area is a lot smaller than what we are used to. It is also really close to the main road although you will have to turn left when coming out and then do a u-turn to go back to Hua Hin after the game. Incidentally the pre-season game against Phetburi was not at Tha Yang, as we were told by someone outside the big stadium, but at a lesser ground somewhere within Petchaburi. I agree with Big Boy, that it is only a minor inconvenience having the first two ''home games'' there rather than having them behind closed doors. For once, the Thai FA, seem to have made a good decision!!
Re: UHT Vana Nava Hua Hin City FC 2015
Yes, a good decision for the supporters, but an awful decision in terms of punishment. Tha Yang will be a little further for most supporters, but not the end of the world. I'm fairly sure the club will run free buses to the matches.Davy B wrote:For once, the Thai FA, seem to have made a good decision!!
I remember Manure being punished and having to play their home match with St Etienne X number of miles from Old Trafford. The only English ground outside of the no-play zone was Home Park, so a megga bonus for Green Army fans

It would be good to hear from buksida how much of the lifetime ban is actually being served by the Prachuab chairman. Did he manage to buy his way out of trouble?

Re: UHT Vana Nava Hua Hin City FC 2015
UHT Vana Nava Hua Hin City 2 - 1 Krung Thonburi a.e.t.
Well what happened to last season's champions? In just 2 months we've gone from Div 1 contenders to a team that will struggle to finish in the top half of their league this season based on today's performance.
The first 75 minutes today were probably the worst I've ever endured watching Hua Hin. A couple of substitutions, and the team improved. I can only hope the team that finished today's match is close to next week's starting line up.
The first 75 minutes saw a very disorganised team, which contained 5 of last season's champions, struggle to maintain a clean sheet. They seemed incapable of stringing more than a couple of passes together before losing the ball to a very alert opposition.
Thonburi took a deserved lead in my opinion - they were certainly the more creative. I was actually considering leaving a football match early. Hua Hin were attrocious (or was I spoilt last season?). I stayed, and eventually Anucha scrambled an injury time equaliser. I'm not sure if Anucha was already significantly injured at this stage, but with the substitutes spent, he certainly played extra time as a passenger.
Extra time started the way the main event ended with Thonburi on the back foot. They conceded what they considered a dubious free kick on the edge of the penalty area. The arguing that followed saw Thonburi lose a player for dissent. The resultant free kick saw Kanchit grab a captain's goal with a beautifully taken header.
I was not at all impressed with today's game, and I only hope we were deliberately playing a sub-standard side. Things have to improve for next Saturday's home league game against Thonburi City, which is being played at Tha Yang.
After today's suffering, I hope that we are rewarded with a good draw in the first round proper.

Hmmmm........... There may be a light at the end of the tunnel, and this time its not a train coming in the other direction.
If it works, here is the post match interview with Ricardo
In the video he talks about 4 players arriving next week in time for the opening game. I only hope the new players arrival will not be to the detriment of Shota. He's so safe in goal - he must be worth 10 points a season.

Re: UHT Vana Nava Hua Hin City FC 2015
I actually thought we were the much better team today, although we should have been controlling the game better in extra time. We were much fitter than them, and given we had taken the lead, and they were down to 10 men we should have just kept the ball, but we let the game get a bit stretched. I thought Sato done well when he came on. Will be a different team once the Brazilians are in though, plus still no sign of "Pu" today, not in the squad again.
BB, I think in the video he says "our FOREIGN players" not 4 players.....
I was talking to him again today actually, he said the flights have been fully booked but they have now booked a different route(via Lisbon and Frankfurt) and will arrive Thursday.
There is apparently going to be something arranged for Friday at Market Village to introduce the new players and the new strips. The strips we wore last week and today are NOT the new strips incidentally.
I was also informed that Nobby is definitely coming! I don't want to mention the name but he also mentioned another well known former international and English Premiership player would be coming here. Got the impression it would be on the coaching side(teaming up with Nobby?) But he's young enough to still play possibly!

Yes, I was thinking it strange that the kit had absolutely no sponsorship on it.
Regarding the introductory event, they told me it was ticket only, and I could pick tickets up at the ground this afternoon - I didn't bother, thinking it would all be in Thai.

Might be 2 different events, the one at Market Village on Friday will be open to the public and basically a big PR event. There is another event on the 23rd at the water park for VIP's that I imagine will be ticketed.Big Boy wrote:Regarding the introductory event, they told me it was ticket only, and I could pick tickets up at the ground this afternoon - I didn't bother, thinking it would all be in Thai.
