It must be worrying to Arsenal fans when Wenger said something along the lines of, 'They (West Ham) had better preparation before the match'.

What's your job title again Arsene? :?
Not really, we're kind of used to it :D

The Eagles started the season with a good win. A win this weekend should make us favourites for finishing in the top 4. :D
Woke up this morning breathing that's a good start to the day.

I'll 3rd that - up Eagles!

My bigger concern is meeting an in-form City away that could leave Chelsea with 1 point from a possible six, so really looking to Palace to turn over the Arse as well. It's just that they might bounce back after last week. Maybe the crowd will scare them?

Much funnier, I thought, was Wenger's suggestion that the players were nervous!

Mario Ballotelli is unlikely to leave Liverpool during this transfer window as he is guaranteed a six figure "loyalty bonus" if he is still with the Merseyside club after August 31 ! :rasta:

Read that too, Zidane. Unbelievable!

P.S. Glad to see United are still looking shite, despite scraping the win. Spurs will show you how it's done in 45 minutes. A bit of class is what's lacking from your team. :D

I was quite amazed when I read that, I don't know what wages he is on, but would guess it must be close to a six figure sum per week, so surprised that he would hold out for such a sum when he could be getting regular football elsewhere.

Great game by the Spuds today. Did they lead at any stage of the match?

I stand by my comment... we showed how it's done in 45 minutes. Just a shame we couldn't do another full 45 minutes.

Spurs Game 1 (away at Old Trafford) : Showed glimpses of class for 20 minutes. Scored an own goal. Game became something of a nothingness for the remaining 70 minutes.

Result: 0-1

Spurs Game 2 (home vs Stoke) : Dominated the match for 70 minutes, and if it wasn't for a couple of fine saves would have been 4-0 up. Kane gets taken off. Give away a needless penalty and turn to shit.

Result: 2-2

Spurs played very well today. Taking only 1 point from 6 doesn't bother me at all. All we have to sort out is the 'mental' side of our game... when we concede (by fluke or poor play) we deflate quickly and let the other team get on top.

If we continue as we are, and manage to play a full 90 minutes (first game 20, next 70... all that comes next is 90 minutes, surely) we are in for a very good season.
