Yes, it just goes by order of arrival/registration. I had a number that would have put me towards the end of the 1-3 pm group if going strictly by queue number. I arrived just before 1 pm and was jabbed @ 1:20 pm.

Could you choose the vaccine? Or was it Sinovac as first dose ?

SinoVac as first dose - no choice. 2nd dose AstraZeneca in 3 weeks time.

A few people actually walked away when they had it confirmed today's' dose would be Sinovac. Mind you, there were plenty of people left to be vaccinated

The process was much more complicated than when I went with Mrs BB 3 weeks ago, but it was still very efficient. I had to join 7 different queues. No complaints from me, a job well done.

3 weeks. Those of us that got AZ first still have to wait until September for 2nd jab. Hope there's some left over after you lot. Hope they don't screw up the allotments.

My second is 4 weeks time, but still 3 weeks ahead of Mrs BB's second jab.

They went to great lengths explaining it would be Sinovac today (I remember being told 5 times), but each time the Sinovac information was followed with confirmation it would definitely be AZ next time.

She had AZ, I had Sinovac. 2nd dose after Sinovac has to be much sooner.

I asked about that, in relation to my wife's date for her next AstraZeneca shot. My second jab puts me more than a month before her second jab. They explained that it was because her first jab was AstraZeneca and mine was SinoVac and that the gap between the jabs is different for the different vaccines.

Until your AZ shot you're only pretend vaccinated.

Whereas we that got AZ first are semi-vaccinated.

Well they have to get rid of their Sinovac vaccines. It does appear that along with other countries they will run down their supplies of Sinovac. Orders have been placed for Pfizer (20 million in the 4th quarter) as well as orders for Moderna and J &J. The Red Cross has been approved to deal direct with the manufacturers and has ordered 5 million doses of Moderna.

I should be up for vaccination in the next few weeks (queue 10,800) and I'm not sure at the moment whether, if forced into a Sinovac first shot, I may just walk. I'm currently quite safe in my 'bubble' so it may be a case of waiting a couple of months for better vaccines to arrive. I've not made up my mind yet.

Whilst I personally think in Hua Hin we're fairly safe at the moment anyway, the danger comes when somebody leaves your bubble and comes back in again (just to the shop will do it). I was concerned when the latest cluster was reported as being between Soi 88 and 94 yesterday. I don't use the shops in that area, but my son, daughter-in-law, daughter and granddaughters do. They are my bubble, and could easily infect me.

My view, as I've said already, I've taken what is available (it should at least lessen the effect if I am unfortunate enough to catch it), and sort out something better in a few months time when the initial rush is over.

If I was offered Sinovac as first shot, I would have taken it, knowing that I would get AZ as second shot within a month. Certainly better than nothing, and possibly as good as 2 shots of AZ (or very nearly so) and hopefully more, and better, vaccines will start appearing next year for use as booster shots.

Take the AZ next month and you can then get a booster after September of your choice

There are 8 in my bubble and the only one to leave the house for essentials is my daughter, sort of the designated driver!
I know it only takes one to bring it home but she is very sensible. Masks and sanitizing when she gets back. Lol, she even sanitizes any packages that are delivered before bringing them into the house.
