If we continue as we are, and manage to play a full 90 minutes (first game 20, next 70... all that comes next is 90 minutes, surely) we are in for a very good season.
Unfortunately, football just isn't that simple or straightforward . :|

Judging by some of the scores in the opening two weekends so far, it's going be another unpredictable season again. :?

P.S. Glad to see United are still looking shite, despite scraping the win. Spurs will show you how it's done in 45 minutes. A bit of class is what's lacking from your team. :D

Aye,but its better playing shite and winning than playing great and hovering just above pointless Sunderland !

Caller, as we won so easy last year we are applying reverse psychology this year. Instead of playing like world beaters for the 1st 5 or 6 games and only dropping a few points (like we did last year), we are playing crap for the 1st 5 or 6 games, that way giving the others a chance.
After the initial slow start, we will start to blow everyone out of the way and win in style.
That is my excuse anyway 5555

Spurs 0 - 0 Everton

Seasoned Spurs fans will not be surprised by the start to this season - some decent performances with little to show for it. Plenty of shots, but no goals yesterday - at least we managed to keep a clean sheet for once.
Kane is unsurprisingly going through a lean spell. It doesn't look like we're going to get Berahino, so let's hope we haven't bought another expensive flop in Mr Son Heung-Min.

Reports of another forward target:
Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on completing a move to sign Brazil forward Alexandre Pato. He is on loan at Sao Paulo from the Corinthians until this December as his contract with his primary club runs out in 2016.
Come on you Spurs <sigh>

EDIT: Hmmm...

This is the way

Based on the evidence, he should be signed up immediately- looks fantastic!!

Without doubt a poor start by Chelsea. Palace were very good yesterday and any team that comes to Stamford Bridge and takes three points, deserves it. It's as simple as that.

Some of this Chelsea team just aren't performing. Clearly Ivanovic is struggling, Fabregas seems a bit wanderlust and his poor possession and passing has cost goals, Hazard needs a wake up call and it was no surprise to see Matic taken off yesterday. We are clearly struggling to break down well set up defences and It's up to Jose to sort it out. Playing with more pace might help.

The plus side's are Pedro, Loftus-Cheek when he came on, who I thought looked impressive, Falcao's goal and the new player Kennedy, as raw as he seemed, seems to have something - youth for a start.

We missed Terry's organisational skills as ever - can't imagine conceding that second goal with him on the park - and I'm still confident that we'll be there or thereabouts at the end. Only City are looking the part at the moment. Everyone else is lagging.

Emmanuel Adebayor: Tottenham striker will not be selected for Togo

Emmanuel Adebayor has been likened to "a bad date" by Togo coach Tom Saintfiet, who says he will not select the Tottenham striker.
Saintfiet said Adebayor, 31, failed to respond to a call-up for an African Cup qualifier with Djibouti on 4 September.
In June he threatened to miss the match after being stripped of the captaincy.
Saintfiet said: "If you are dating a woman who does not want to respond positively, then you must look for another woman."
Adebayor failed to reply to Togo management regarding last week's game by text message or email, according to Saintfiet.
"For me, it is clear that he is a player who does not want to play for his country anymore,'' added Saintfiet.
Adebayor is yet to feature for Spurs this season and has been left out of both their Premier League and Europa League squads.

Now, I`m not one to say I told you so, but I did when this plonker joined Spurs. Maybe not a plonker though if he is pulling in £100,000 a week for doing not a lot. He is a serial non-trier.

Reminds me if Winston Bogarde and his time at Chelsea. 4 Year contract, 40-50000 per week and played I think 4 games. Refused all efforts Chelsea did to get rid of him, because no one would match his chelsea wages. So thought that he would see out his contractand get paid for doing sweet FA
