Anywho... Many are against me calling the massively physical, butch, non-feigning injury etc. etc. sport, but whilst being a serios matter, I do find the choice of colour amusing...

According to the beeb, Rooney is to talk with Plymouth about their vacancy. Seems their direcor of football, or whatever they call him, knows him from Everton.

Any views BB? :duck:

His managerial record so far is abysmal so I know what I’d think if I was a Plymouth supporter!!

Yes, I saw that earlier today and cringed. Probably on a par with Peter Shilton as manager.

It is my belief that the Plymouth board have their heads screwed on, and this is just a bit of newspaper title tattle on a slow news day. That is what I'm hoping, anyway.

They've just made a huge mistake with one of Southgate's apprentices, I don't think they'd make another so quickly.

Whoever ends up with Rooney, as a fan I'd just scratch that season off as a loss. Plan for the rebuild when he goes.
I don't trust children. They're here to replace us.

The Plymouth board are usually quite smart, and if they do appoint him, will usually do so with good reason. I've no idea what they're thinking with this decision, but we need to wait and see what happens. Ian Foster was their first mistake for a few years - I guess time will tell.

I am horrified by the decision, but also have a lot of faith in the board. I will watch with much trepidation, and time will tell.

Oh my, oh my. They seem to be confirming his appointment, or at least in that direction. I guess if he loses the majority of the first 10, they can sack him without too much harm being done for the season.

We'll just have to sit back and watch his close season dealings with interest  . That should give us a clue.

I'd rather be watching it happen with another club, but sh*t happens. Seriously, if it doesn't work, the signing will be very out of character with the current board. Hopefully, they know something the rest of us don't.

Having said that, you can't support Plymouth Argyle for almost 60 years and not be hardened to the occasional disaster.

The board may know something we don't, like a 10 games clause like I mentioned. Anyway it won't be hard to find Plymouth in the sporting news this season!

I'm curious what they're paying him? Could he be on probation until proven with an "expenses only" package? I would like to think so, but dreaming.
