This rare inflammatory disease that's hitting kids in the US seems to have been replicated in the UK. The worrying theory is that it's caused by the antibodies produced after Covid. So rather than gaining some immunity, it's possible that it's causing further complications:
Up to 100 children in the UK have been affected by a new disease thought to be linked to infection with coronavirus.

At least one teenager, a 14-year-old boy, has died after suffering a stroke caused by complications of treatment for the new syndrome, which is similar to the existing Kawasaki disease leading to an inflammatory response in the body’s immune system causing blood vessels to swell.

Symptoms include a fever, rash, red eyes and lips and redness on the palms and soles of the feet. Some children have become so sick they have needed treatment in intensive care units.

Many of the children tested negative for infection with Covid-19 but have tested positive for antibodies which doctors believe suggests the syndrome is being caused by the effects of antibodies created after the virus has been defeated by the immune system.

Yeah, tricky one is this

He wants government to pay for middle seat, but he may not have enough passengers to need those seats.

Surely government would need proof of loads before paying out?

But MOL will argue that passengers didn't book because of reduced seating or that they wanted a middle seat!

The earlier link I gave say that up to 100 children in the UK have been affected. Italy has come up with further evidence that this inflammatory disease is linked to Covid.
It has now been found in several countries as well as the US and the UK.

It seems more and more that this is a manufactured disease. I don't recall, perhaps someone does, this type of mutation happening before.

But manufactured from what? Similar to Kawasaki disease which is said to affect maybe one person in 3 months, this disease occurs in children who have already recovered from covid. It seems to appear 6 weeks after being infected with covid. Apart from being found in multiple states in the US, 100 cases in the UK and has appeared in Spain, Italy, France and the Netherlands. In every case the subject was found to have antibodies showing that they'd had covid 19.

Govt mulls cut in curfew time
The government will on Friday discuss a proposal to shorten the 10pm-4am curfew by one hour to help boost the economy while a proposal to extend the state of emergency for another month will depend on whether Covid-19 curb relaxations are successful, according to a highly placed source.

The 11pm-4am curfew proposal was formally discussed at Wednesday's meeting of an ad hoc committee on easing Covid-19 restrictions, which was chaired by Gen Somsak Roongsita, secretary-general of the National Security Council (NSC), said the source.

The proposal is expected to be forwarded to the main committee of the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), led by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, for endorsement, said the same source.

Fresh test for Wuhan as cluster sparks mass virus screening
Nervous residents of China's pandemic epicentre of Wuhan queued up across the city to be tested for the novel coronavirus on Thursday after a new cluster of cases sparked a mass screening campaign.

Lines of residents keeping their social distance formed at makeshift testing sites set up under tents in parking lots, parks and residential communities as rain trickled down in the metropolis of 11 million people.

394 Thai arrivals yesterday and today from all over the globe now in quarantine. Any of those developing a problem I would think will be added to the daily new case numbers when it happens.

Predictable. 7 new cases today. All from quarantined returnees!

Yes, I just found the story. Good to see at least it's not a new localized cell.

https://www.thaienquirer.com/13069/thai ... returnees/

The Thai government said on Friday that it had discovered seven new cases of coronavirus infections.

It is the highest number of new infections in a week. All seven cases were returnees from Pakistan and in state quarantine.

That brings the total number of cases to 3,025.

There were no new fatalities in the last 24 hours with the death toll still at 56.

Four more people have recovered from the disease bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,854 cases.

115 patients remain in hospital.

Shopping centres to reopen Sunday, shorter curfew hours

https://www.bangkokpost.com/business/19 ... rfew-hours

Shopping malls and restaurants in shopping centres are among businesses allowed to reopen on Sunday, and curfew hours will be shortened by one hour to 11pm.

Taweesilp Visanuyothin, spokesman for the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), said on Friday that shopping centres, malls and restaurants inside the buildings will be allowed to resume business nationwide from Sunday.

Convention centres, wholesale markets and swimming pools will also be allowed to reopen, he said.

Shopping centres will have to close at 8pm, to give people sufficient time to return home in time for the night curfew.

New curfew hours will also be introduced, from 11pm-4am instead of from 10pm, starting on Sunday, Dr Taweesilp said.

The decision to reopen some businesses will be published in the Royal Gazette on Friday or Saturday.

Dr Taweesilp said cinemas, amusement parks, boxing stadiums and gymnasiums remained closed, while fitness centres will be allowed to resume some activities.

The easing of restrictions comes after regular reports of fewer new coronavirus cases and deaths. There were seven new cases reported on Friday, all people returning from visits to Pakistan, with no new deaths. On Wednesday, there were no new infections at all.

The CCSA spokesman said airports remain closed to commercial flights from overseas, and no alcoholic beverages are allowed to be consumed in restaurants.
