Nah, good shout by buksida, but a disappointing show. Average acting by an overly 'diverse' cast and poor plots. I watched halfway through ep 2, when the sound was out of sync, and it really wasn't worth downloading another one.

Likewise, only made it through one episode of QL ... moving on.

‘Ancient Apocalypse’

6 part series on Netflix, with ‘pseudoscientist’ Graham Hancock, who has for years challenged archeologists on their assessment of the ancient world from Egypt to Mexico to Indonesia and beyond.

It makes for good viewing if the ancient world mystery is of interest. For those that may have read his books, this series is a visual narrative of ‘Magicians of the Gods’.

Yeah spotted that and added last night to my film plus app

Although it's weekly episodes on Sundays

Which in the case of this drama I'm happy to watch weekly. I won't feel the desperate urge to binge the lot!

It's perfectly watchable sh*t IMO

Not usually a fan of westerns but I will make an exception for The English. Stellar cast inc. Emily Blunt, Stephen Rea and an Emmy worthy performance by Rafe Spall.

Heads up.... Jack Ryan Season 3 starts 20 Dec

I enjoyed Series 1 & 2, not great but thoroughly decent action thriller stuff

And the lead character actor transformed well from comedy (The Office - USA) to action hero/spy.

I'm not certain but if I recall correctly S2 was better than S1

THE WHITE LOTUS SEASON 2

Just finished this drama thriller cum black comedy

Season 1 was good (but faded at the end if I recall correctly)

But season 2 is...... drumroll..... OUTSTANDING!

I can count on one hand the number of dramas that I've enjoyed so much I've watched them twice. Before watching the finale on Monday I watched all the episodes again.

Whilst not the most amazing script with big clever twists etc the acting, set location and overall production are of the highest quality.

One of the actors is so good I've only just realised who he is. By that I mean he played a gay guy in another drama I watched not that long ago. His performance in that one was so convincing, that I just didn't recognise him at all in this one where he is a straight married guy until I did some internet research. Sign of a great actor.

Probably in my top 3 of 2022

Particularly for Brits, if you enjoyed Strike, there’s a new series out called Troubled Blood, I’ve only watched the first episode of four, but so far it’s good
