Don't forget the game was played at Man United and there other rules do apply, Sir Alex's rules which all ref's must obey to.BaaBaa. wrote:I recall saying there would be a shocking decision this weekend.
Fletcher hacks down Arshavin, it was one of the most stonewall penaltys you will ever see, Arsenal get nothing.
These referees make my blood boil.
It is the one good thing Rafa has done, it could have been worse he could have ended up back at Chelsea.BaaBaa. wrote:I can't believe Rafa wasted all that money on that Johnson fella!
I cheered the day he left Chelsea and could not believe they were thinking of signing him again

Have you seen him this season? 2 Goals and 2 assists and looking like the best winger (nevermind fullback) in the country.
The guy is a beast and is class on the ball.
Baa Baa is not his going forward that I am worried about, it is his defensive work after he has been on the attack.BaaBaa. wrote:chelsea wrote:It is the one good thing Rafa has done, it could have been worse he could have ended up back at Chelsea.BaaBaa. wrote:I can't believe Rafa wasted all that money on that Johnson fella!

He cost Chelsea big time with problems like that. Monaco in the Champions League to mention a few.
At the end of the season, try and remember where a lot of goals scored against you originated from, and I can tell you it will be down the RH side of defence.

What about the incident which got Davies sent off? Lucas waving an imaginery card at the referee knowing it would be his 2 nd one and he would be off.
Absolutely disgusting that, cheating, gamesmanship, ungentlemanly conduct call it what you will, the ref should have booked Lucas for doiing it.If that had been a Bolton player the fat Spanish waiter would have gone off on one of his famous rants.
It is up to Managers and referees to stamp this out as it changed the game.
Common sense I understand, has prevailed over the sending off of Mr Wenger and he is to recieve an apology today.Quite correct but he did look quite amused when standing in amongst the United fans who cheered him and wanted to shake his hand.
Glory! Glory! Man Utd.

It was never actually a rant, it's only called a rant because rant and Rafa make an easy headline.higgy wrote:If that had been a Bolton player the fat Spanish waiter would have gone off on one of his famous rants..
A bit like Alex and Arsehole.
Enjoy it while you can Jimmy!JimmyGreaves wrote:On a very light note Spurs are 2nd in the division and playing some nice footballBaaBaa. wrote:On a lighter note, Luka Modric has broken his leg.and Liverpool look shite!

I do actually think you'll do well this season.

Well I'm not convinced about City yet - time will tell. Maybe a season too soon for a new team?
And I'm not convinced about Liverpool yet - time will tell. So far they look a shadow of last season.
And I'm certainly not convinced about the Mancs yet - time will tell, though Ferdinand will make a difference.
Which is why I said elsewhere that I can see three London clubs in the top four. But I reckon Spurs will have to keep their main players fit.

A few years ago we saw only the trio Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United at the top. Then Chelsea joined in and we had a quartet and now it appears there are two more contenders, Manchester City and Tottenham, knocking on the door.
I am an Arsenal fan but I do welcome more competition at the top as I think it will make the premier league more interesting.
Let there be many interesting games with good quality football for all of us to enjoy.
