Interesting analysis, although I'm sure our sillywhites would disagree.
The Long Game or the Short Game?

In North London there are two rival football clubs with polar opposite game plans. You have Arsenal who have been implementing a measured, time-consuming plan to build for the future; and you have Tottenham who have been investing money into their squad in order to catch up to Arsenal and break into the Champions League on a regular basis.

I’m reading tweets from a lot of frustrated Arsenal fans who are questioning what’s happening with the club. Arsenal CEO Ivan Gazidis said there was £70,000,000 to spend re-enforcing the team during a shareholders meeting, and months later, nothing seems to be happening other than the club repeating a trend where Arsenal finalise players at the very last moment and only seem to sign players who can make the team capable of finishing fourth in the league; rather than signing players who will give the team the chance of competing for trophies.

Nothing to disagree with there. :)

wonder what the special wanker have to say when the referee will perform against chelsea as the refs
did against aston villa today ?

only yellow to ivanovich for an elbow on benteke, should been red.
offside on ivanovich on the 2-1 goal.
terry make penalty in the end of the game using hand.

good game anyway with chances to both teams and a draw would been fair even its two differents way to play football with chelsea trying toplay around and aston villa play high balls to benteke.

I think Villa will do a lot better, this time around, and a top half finish should be easily achievable for them.
They were very unlucky last night.

No,its not actually ! 8)
I tried downloading her but although I get the pixels right 100 x 100,I cant reduce the size to between 0-9 kb for some reason.
But I hope Terry is happy with her replacement and is enjoying his corn flakes this morning !

I see there are some interesting matches this weekend.....Fulham v Arsenal,Aston Villa v Liverpool etc. but how ridiculous having United v Chelsea on at 8pm on a Monday night ! :(
Its likely to be one of the main matches of the season and, over here,I have to get up at 2am to watch it and I'm always bolloxed the next day.....same with the big European games but I can accept that.

Looks like AVB took my advice as I said on 20th May 8)

"Advice to AVB
Sell Bale for the maximum you can get - then buy two or three other decent strikers"

All he needs now is the new raincoat..............

BTW Zidane - I don't like to have nice and Arse in the same sentence - but I will forgive you for the new avatar. Very cheeky.............

Oh - and yes - mind the gap :lach: :lach: :lach:

Seems like Will.I.Am is stalling, he's been holed up in a hotel for 3 days and has already passed a Spurs medical.

I mentioned Ferguson's United coaching staff before, mainly referring to Maulensteen http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ren%C3%A9_Meulensteen

He wanted the England U21s job but the FA have just announced Gareth Southgate. You couldn't make it up.

And the other 2 decent strikers. A bit of creativity wouldn't go amiss either.

Spurs have spent well and I expect top 4 but they don't look like a side that will cut the durge to ribbons, they'll likely beat an Arsenal/United/Liverpool 1-0 with your strong midfield then go and drop points against Stoke/Villa.

Just my observations.

100 overseas countries represented in the Premier League

When Fernando Amorebieta makes his debut this weekend for Fulham, Venezuela will become the 100th overseas nationality to have been represented in the Premier League. We've mapped the 99 other countries, and have included Venezuela as the 100th. Click on the Google Fusion map to see how many players from each country have played in the Premier League......

Chelsea trying to hijack Spurs move for Willian by entering the race to sign him even though the player has undergone a medical at Spurs......Chelsea hope to entice him by offering Champions League football this season. (BBC Sport) :o
