Very easy and convenient if you live 10 minutes away from the immigration office. A world of pain for everyone else.
I genuinely feel for all in your situation, and even though deep down I thought it was just another gem from the Ministry of Silly Ideas and would die a natural death, I decided to comply because it was no real hardship to me personally.
Apart from the 3 hours travel each way, the process, at least, should remain simple. Problems will start if/when Immigration start making up extra requirements/validation as the process evolves. This could turn a 6 hour round trip into several. We all know, if managed correctly, it could become quite a cash cow.
I’m about to submit my first ever TM30 at Bluport and would be very grateful if someone who has already done so successfully can confirm whether the TM 30 form has to be completed in black or blue ink or will either do?

Pretty sure either black or blue ink will work. In the past I’ve used both colors and never had a problem.
Critics say the TM30 regulation could dissuade skilled foreign workers and harm tourism
The private sector and government are currently at odds over a new push by immigration officials to enforce the TM30 regulation, requiring landlords of foreign residents to report to Immigration if a tenant leaves his or her residence for over 24 hours.

My other half is not accepting this at all. She rents a condo in Bkk where I regularly stay. So just going between here and Bkk isn't an issue if that's all I do. But shortly we will be going to Korat and then KK, so hotels will register me as staying there. Then I will stay for a while in Bkk before coming back to HH. So that gap will have to be explained before I return here unless I just ignore everything. She is also my landlord in HH.
Does anyone have a link to something in Thai that explains all these new rules and what she has to do? Thanks.

The problem if your wife registers online, she is then committed to reporting each and every move both you and her tenants make, or risk being fined if, particularly a tenant, does not inform her. This is just another point of how ridiculous it is.
I just ignore everything.
That's the way to go! There is NO possible way that Immigration can daily check the hotel reports. The only way they are going to know, and can see it easily in your passport, is if you leave the country and return. In which case it would just be better for you alone to go to the nearest Immigration or Police office and just report yourself.

As they are tourists it is not their place to report anything, it is YOUR responsibility to report that you have alien creatures staying in your house.

This is probably going to confuse rather help, but when we've had overseas visitors staying, even though Mrs BB has always taken the TM30, Immigration have asked to see our visitors in person as well.
