I do not think so with perhaps millions of transfers a day to deal withMikeyb wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 2:21 am I have a theory that Wise algorithms make a decision on wether to transfer immediately or wait. On the premise they can make a bit more margin.
Say you transfer £1 and get a rate of 44b , if Wise think the THB is going to go down over night or next day , you get it instantly.
If its going to up , they hold it and wait for the improved rate but you still get the promised rate at time of transfer .

Courage is grace under pressure and when circumstances change you change your mind.
Re: Wise formerly Transferwise
The point is, in my theory it's all done by AI , so millions of transactions wouldn't make a difference.
Anyway I may be wrong .
Basically currency hedging to avoid risk of fluctuations.

My transfer yesterday was the best rate I've seen for ages, and I got 'blink of an eye service'. It had lost 30 Satang not long after, so that sort of shoots the theory down.

Wise uses AI, Machine learning (ML) and language machine learning.
They don't use hedging, they have various different currency accounts, such as THB in KBank, and with major unforeseen shifts, they can off-set
