Thank you,your Reverence. :rasta:
I knew Dalglish and Ferguson had respect for each other but didnt know they were that matey.
I've got Fergies 1999 autobiography "Managing my life" and whilst Dalglish is mentioned a few times he doesnt do the prologue......it must be in the later editions,I guess.

Fergie definitely does the Dalglish prologue, I may be wrong on the Ferguson biography then.

Ashley Cole......time to give Bertrand a chance,maybe ?
Romeu.....not good enough
Lampard....out of contract but could stay if Mourinho comes back.
Torres....50m signing but lucky if you will get 10m for him.....Real Sociedad, possibly.
Moses....flatters to deceive.
Malouda....doesnt feature now,way past his best.
Ferreira....way past his best about 5 years ago !
Marin....minimal impact.
Benayoun....surprised he's still on the books.
Hilario.....he's nearly 38,hilarious he's still with you.

So,I think Jose could get rid of at least 7 of them quite easily !
That's a fair list, Zidane, with the exception of Cole and Lamps and possibly Torres? That was my point about the squad size, if we look at the Fulham game, not only is it physically smaller, but its full of some that were and some that have never been. You could add Turnbull to that list as well.

So effectively, we have a very small nucleus of players that are doing all the work. On saying that, sometimes, as in the situation we were in at the end of last season and similarly now, it can be ok.

Cole has still got it, he seems a ridiculously naturally fit lad and I don't see why he can't do it for a fair few more years.

What a shite display by Spurs. Bale has definitely got us where we luckily are. Looks like I have now got to get up in the middle of the night to see if we can improve on another absolutely lethargic display! I suppose a wins a win but I want to watch good football (any clues where?) and Southampton looked much better than us.

Hull is back, so we now know who all the new boys will be next season.

The same link indicates that the Wolves are going down yet again. What a fall over the past two seasons. Pete

EDIT: New boys minus the 3rd spot.

Well, I beg to differ. Quite strongly actually.
Not with how well Spurs played, or with the fact that Southampton were the better team, but with everything else.

Every team has games like this every season, and I don't think we have more than our fair share. Man U certainly have plenty where they look perfectly ordinary, but the difference is they still win them, and that's why they are champions.
Of course a win's a win, particularly at this stage of the season and given the 3rd-5th positions and points - a win is much more than a win in fact, it's a lifeline.

JG, I got the impression you were cracking on a bit and had been supporting Spurs for 80 years or something. If that's so, you've picked a strange time to get extra fussy. Maybe you should change your user name to Peter Osgood or Ian Rush. Pull yourself together, man, and pray we beat Chelsea on Wednesday!

Didn't see the game but have read the reports - seems dismal

dm has made some good points but frankly speaking if we don't win or at least draw against Chelski then I think we can kiss goodbye to CL........

Its anothe big game for Spurs and their fans tonight....
I would really like to think that United will be up for this one then can relax for the last two games.
A Chelsea win and I think that they are all but sure to clinch a top 4 place.

Very interesting at the bottom of the Premiership with Wigan winning,an awful defeat for Norwich and a reasonable draw for Newcastle......Villa almost safe now.

Dont forget the hors d'oeuvres before the United v Chelsea clash at 10pm over here is Liverpool v Everton at 7.30pm Thai time.
Incidentally, former Liverpool star,Robbie Fowler,is strongly tipped to be announced as the next Macclesfield Town player/manager next week.
If it happens maybe Baa Baa will be paying a few visits to the Moss Rose next season ! :rasta:

Yes that's why the feeling of disappointment is well ingrained and you can smell when it's about to come. The Liverpool game away was the start of it and there has only been one really good performance since.

Like you I live in hope but time's running out and we need a miracle the way they are playing! How many shots at goal did we have in this game? Nine points from 3 games and it's party time, enough said :D

Jimmy Greaves established another Tottenham goal scoring record.

Tottenham finished the 1962-63 season in second place in the 1st Division, behind Everton. A late season slump, that sounds familiar, saw them drop out of contention for the title

With all the drama still coming in the premier league, what a day in the championship yesterday. The automatic promotion place changed hands during the matches as did the last play off spot as Bolton, Nottingam Forest (sorry Steve G) and Leicester all held it at some stage of the evening. The same happened at the bottom, where it looked like Peterborough would stay up and Barnsley, Huddersfield and Sheffield Wednesday all held that last relegation place for some time. Even Millwall could have gone donw, if Peterborough and Barnsley had been able to hold on to their leads. What a fantastic football show it was.

BTW, I almost had a nervous breakdown during the late PL game but yet again, so far so good.

Seriously?

If so I'm in. My mate's old man is head of security.

I've been to West Ham and Watford cup games there in the last few years, David James, Jermaine Defoe and Jermaine Pennant. Good laugh.

Robbie Fowler in his (short lived) pomp is one of the best Footballers I've ever seen.

Brilliant player.

Yard dogs.

Liverpool will finish 10 or 15 points above them next year. Possibly more.
