Was Bangkok Bank branch in Bluport. They were extremely helpful. Charge for 12 months worth of statements was B100. I have read on other forums that some Banks are asking for B100 per page.

First time I went to immigration I had copies of Bank Book pages, Certificate letter to prove account was mine, 12 months worth of International Credit Advice and a letter from the Bank detailing all monthly International transfers. You are right the need to have 12 months worth of statements on top of that makes little sense to myself and also the Bank.

I asked if I have the 12 months of statements next year do I need all the other stuff. The IO told me to do exactly the same.

@PJG - am I correct in assuming you went to the main Bangkok Bank branch on Phetkasem Road, and not the one adjacent to Market Village?
The one adjacent to MV is the same as the bigger one further down the road. Anything that you can do at one, you can do at the other. It's part of the main branch and not one in it's own right.
At least that's what they've always told me and I've done all my banking there, including letters required for immigration.

Thanks @PJG and @HHTel

i ended up going to the branch on Phetkasem Rd and docs are inbound from Bangkok Bank HQ on Silom Rd. No relaxation until the stamps are in the passport though!

So, following Meerkats succinct script I went to Bangkok bank to ask for credit advice slips.
One pension - Bahtnet - no problem.
Second pension paid into a pension account at Bangkok Bank London by HMG and then through that account to Bangkok Bank Prachuap town.
Transfer listed in Bank Book as. TRF.
No credit transfer advice is recorded or was available From Bangkok on computer.
Prachuap town bank contacted the main branch in Bangkok by telephone.
Bangkok will contact London. Total confusion.
All worked well while Embassy letters were accepted and before the demand for credit advice slips.
The helpful lady in the bank (name Ice) said she had never seen this problem before. I am to see her again on Monday to hear the outcome.
Has any other person actually had precisely the same problem?

All went well with the paperwork from Bangkok with the exception of obtaining bank credit advice papers for twelve months for my transfers from Bangkok Bank UK to Bangkok Bank Prachuap. There is no established system for this. The lady in my branch here copied out the dates from my bank book ( all marked as transfers but not international transfers) on which the transfers were made during the last twelve months. She sent these to the International section in Bangkok.
I received a double sheet of paper showing the Bahtnet and Bangkok transfers for the last twelve months. There were no actual individual credit advice slips for the Bangkok Bank transfers for the last twelve months. I was told that Immigration in Hua Hun had been telephoned. They said that this was acceptable.
I hope that this will be of some help to those who stumble into the same Bear trap
I was extremely lucky to find a woman working in the bank who understood my requirements. So I retained copies of the papers to use as templates if there is a problem next year.

Apologies, I forgot to follow up my last post. Immigration accepted the letter from Bangkok Bank head office listing the twelve months transfers from my pension account in Bangkok Bank London. There was no mention of credit advice slips for these transfers. All other paper work was as said in postings by others on this site.

Tha-Yang office.

New experience today whilst attempting my annual extension. Arriving early to beat the queue and landing the first spot of the day, I was told by the girl that my application would not be processed today because of the ‘queue system’.

The girls said she would check that all my documents were in order and then give me a time and date to return. Time and date for return were 12 days from now.

Since we are away during that time she was able to fix us up for a day next week.

I was amazed how many Burmese were in the office today and how few Falangs....actually I was the only one.

First marriage extension at Hua Hin yesterday. Paperwork checked by helper all ok. Then we see IO, he wants bank book update, proof we’re still married (only last July),and a different set of photos.
Return pm with witness. IO happy now. IO visits house at 6pm, takes a few photos. A bit of a pain compared to retirement extension but all very courteous and professional. Return next month to confirm visa hopefully

There was information from the Govt spokesman but I did not catch all of it:-
One was that those with visas expiring from 26 March have an extension to 30 April when more information will be available.
secondly those with 90 day expiry reporting dates from 26 March do not need to appear until further notice

NB there was more and perhaps someone can copy the full announcement

I have a question from a friend which maybe our resident visa specialist Lomuamart or others can answer.

My friend has a Non-Imm O-A visa, Multiple Entries, from his home country. This visa is "Valid from" 13.06.2019 and "Valid until" 12.06.2020. This info taken directly from his visa sticker in his passport.

His first entry into Thailand on this visa was 27.06.2019. On this stamp it says admitted until 25.06.2020 which is after the "Valid until" date on the visa! He than left Thailand 22.12.2019.

He again entered Thailand 31.12.2019. On this stamp it says admitted until 29.12.2020, which is again way after the "Valid until" date on the visa!!!!

Does this mean that this visa technically is valid for "2 years" if he plays his card/travels correctly? Let's say he leaves Thailand and enters Thailand again before the "Valid until" date of 12.06.2020 for his visa. Will he then get admitted to xx.06.2021????

I believe that what you have said is correct - if your friend is able to get a flight out and return again before the expiry of the original visa date (25.06.20) they will get a further one year from the date of entry in June 20 - obviously at the moment, getting flights out or into the country is difficult/impossible but might ease up over the coming weeks

You sure it is entry again before 25.06.2020 and not 13.06.2020?

That's correct. Each time he exits and enters, whilst the visa is still valid, he will get another year's permitted to stay" stamp from the date of entry. So, if he re-enters a day before the visa expires he'll get the year from then, effectively making it last for almost 2 years.

Note: if he exits after the visa has expired, but before the permitted to stay date has, he'll need a re-entry permit to keep the permitted date alive. After the visa is out of date, there is no more "extra time" and he'll be stamped in to whenever the last permitted to stay date says.

I had a tedious but successful visit to Hua Hin immigration yesterday to transfer stamps from my cancelled passport to my new one.

I had decided to renew my (Australian) passport a few months before it expired, partly because it was nearly full and partly because I didn't want to be confined to the house, should restrictions get more severe, with my passport running out on me.

I went to the Australian Embassy in Bangkok on 31 March and received my new passport, by courier service, at home on 09 April. Pretty good, I thought, kudos to the lady (Thai) in the Consular Section.

I delayed going to Immigration until after Easter but remembered to make the photocopy lady out the back my first point of call. She knew what to photocopy from both passports which was all the pages you would imagine plus all visas from all countries in the old passport (Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia).

The reception (or herding) of customers downstairs at Immigration was effective and being an early arrival (just after 8:00 AM) I was in the first batch to be allowed upstairs. This is where things slowed down, with priority appearing to be given to people extending tourist visas.

I left the building at 10:20 AM with my new passport now containing replicas of: my old Non-O visa, my most recent extension on that visa based on retirement, my last arrival stamp at Suvarnabhumi and my re-entry permit. all of which filled three pages. Immigration charged me THB 500.

All in all, exactly two weeks from go to whoa.
