Several restrictions eased in the UK come July 4th. Pubs opening in England, social distancing reduced to 1m+. In Wales, we're looking at opening holiday homes etc. (non-essential shops opening tomorrow) Scotland still keeping many restrictions in place for now. Not that this has much to do with Thailand....

Until they decide how far
apart we can be nothing will happen, the 2 metre rule in pubs and restaurants will not work. I am involved with a company who are making basic preparations to open, but until the government advise they cannot. The 4th of July has been the earliest anything can open, they have relaxed it for shops but not the the holiday and catering outlets.

What's the difference between 1 and 2 meters? Has the virus shortened it leaping ability and if not, it will continue to spread. If there's no difference between 1 & 2 meters then, there's no difference between 1/2 & 1 meter. Does anyone in any govt. really have any idea of what they are doing or are they just shooting craps?

If eveery one wore masks social distancing could be reduced, unfortunately to many numpties around who do not follow guidance, I see a lot of it where Iive social distancing totally not happening.

A lot of people are aware that the decisions relating to social distancing are driven by two factors - scientific and economic and even when the science suggests one thing, the economics might force something else. It’s been clear (to me at east) that at some stage soon, the economy has to get back on its feet, even at the risk of a second spike. I was listening to a scientist last night who was saying that he’d rather be social distancing at one metre wearing masks, than two metres with no masks.

^ The elephant in the room still remains:

....."Dr Taweesilp said the administration was coordinating with Myanmar authorities regarding 23 coronavirus cases found among migrants deported from Thailand.".....

I'm looking forward to the explanation, if it ever comes.

Does this mean we shouldn't be taking these figures from the Thai government as the gospel truth? That's shocking news...

That doesn't say much about the effectiveness of their testing.

Or you could say that it says everything about the effectiveness of their testing?

Not good news this morning.

1) Antibodies in recovered patients fall sharply after 2-3 months.

2) Warning about second waves everywhere, especially Korea at the moment. They were to be one of the countries in the proposed Thai "Travel Bubble".
