This virus has shown the good, the bad and the ugly of citizens
The good: I've seen people coming together. Making sure the elderly and vulnerable have their essentials. The essential workers plowing through the pandemic on bottom rung, barely liveable, minimum wage (kinda weird that all 'essential work' anywhere is minimum wage - back to front). The list goes on.
The Bad: Politics. Folk whose first choice Leader wasn't elected in a previous election, have used this time to do nothing BUT figure out ways to attack the institutions of their county. Sometimes turning violent. Finding each and every way to demean, decept and demoralise the governing body and the voters who voted for it.
The Ugly: The younger generation of both the UK and U.S. The millennials and even more so Gen Z. This was their chance to shine as, both, the younger working generation - and the upcoming new generation. To lead by example. To show the world why we should take them and their opinions seriously. They totally and utterly failed on all counts. Caused havoc, suffering and a never-ending virus spread, certainly in America, but we're seeing it in parts of the UK, too.

I'm gonna stick with blaming the young. The older folk at the beaches must be mentally challenged. Would be discrimination to clump them in the same group.

Flu virus with 'pandemic potential' found in China

A new strain of flu that has the potential to become a pandemic has been identified in China by scientists.
It emerged recently and is carried by pigs, but can infect humans, they say.
The researchers are concerned that it could mutate further so that it can spread easily from person to person, and trigger a global outbreak.
While it is not an immediate problem, they say, it has "all the hallmarks" of being highly adapted to infect humans and needs close monitoring.

The US remains banned from entering the EU. Sure to upset Trump!
The list of countries from where the EU agrees travel should be permitted into the bloc now includes Algeria, Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, Montenegro, Morocco, New Zealand, Rwanda, Serbia, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia and Uruguay.
EU diplomats said travellers from European “micro-states” such as Andorra, Vatican City, Monaco and San Marino will also be given the green light.
The approved countries have been selected on the basis of the reliability of their data, infection rates and reciprocity.

SOE to be extended
The Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) said on Monday that it would recommend the extension of the State of Emergency by another month until the end of July due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The SOE was introduced on March 26 and was intended to last until April 30. It was, however, extended by the CCSA to May 31 and again to June 30.
This will be the third time it has been extended.
“It will be decided by the cabinet on Tuesday,” said Dr Taweesin Visanuyothin, a spokesperson at the CCSA.
Dr Taweesin says that the SOE needs to be extended because it gives the government more weapons to fight in containing the spread of the virus.
It can control the movement of people coming in and out of the country. It can also establish state quarantine measures and monitor methods to limit the spread of the virus.
The SOE also makes integration between different government agencies much easier, said Dr Taweesin.

Even though Thailand has a very low incidence of Covid, it’s not one of the exempt countries

Thailand is included in lists from other .gov websites.

Nine and a half hours till pubs re-open in the UK. Brits failed to be responsible when allowed to just sit at home drinking, or in a park. Can't see this going well...
Expect covid infection to accelerate its rise in 3...2...

Read again there are 3 columns it ends in vietnam. Thailand is not included

I know it's already been posted but a graphic is easier to read info from for some.
The full list of 'air bridge' countries from the UK. I gather some countries on the list have said they will not allow Brits in so, like everything else during the coronavirus months, no one really knows.
