BaaBaa. wrote:The odd thing about that was, bar the amazing comeback, Milan played us off the park but Liverpool were easily the better side in Athens 2007, I was confident of battering any team in Europe after a few years under Rafa, and we did.

That would have put Liverpool on 6 European Cups, equal with Milan.

Real have got 9 the :cuss:

Now back down to earth and hoping we can finish above Spurs, City and Everton to get 4th place. :|
I never thought i'd hear a Liverpool fan mention Everton in that same sentence. Defo be interesting this year.

I was thinking the same last night when I saw the result. I've started to wish Barcelona would not do well. The way they have been accosting Arsenal in resent years has been unbelievable.

I know it`s early days yet but are Spurs, Man C and Liverpool fans still confident of reaching the top 4?

I think Man City will possibly push for a top 4 place if they can gel a bit more. I think Tottenham will be distracted by the Champions League and may find it hard to play so many games. And Liverpool I'm afraid are heading in the wrong direction. Europa League again.

By the way you forgot to mention Everton :neener: ..........I think we wont push top 4 as we are always slow starters (as seen already) and leave it too late but Europa League for us

Top 7 prediction:
Chelsea
Arsenal
Man Utd
Man City

Everton
Spurs
:guns: Liverpool

Liverpool have got pretty much the points I expected so far, the fixture list wasn't kind and it's Old Trafford next.

The performances have been shocking though, Joe Coles ban, Mascherano leaving and a a very stop start opening to the season hasn't helped but I honestly haven't got a clue where we'll finish.

Liverpool made a profit again this Summer though and downgraded Manager so I see no reason to expect any better than last year.

I'll tell you around Christmas.

Yes, played quite well second half, Lucas with a Gerrardesque piledriver.

It's got 0-0 or 1-1 written all over it hasn't it?

Torres does like playing Vidic though. :guns:

I know Liverpool haven't been playing great recently but I honestly don't think Yernited have got a great side anymore.

Agree BaaBaa, United aint the same anymore, definetely beatable.
As you say, Torres loves playing against Vidic, remember he ripped Vidic a new one in that 4-1 win not so long ago!!! :thumb:

I see you are in HH over the crimbo/new year period. Same here, we'll have to meet up and watch a game.

There's a game on the 15th of Jan at Anfield that will be worth watching, should be an early kick off as well, 8ish in Thailand I reckon.
