I usually PM the Hua Hin City page. I guess that as they didn't have the diagrams, but had to share somebody else's post, they probably won't know the answer.

I'd forgotten that I'd met Sabai Sabai until I saw the photo of him chatting to Ricardo

My cover has been blown! Yeah, that was me you were kind enough to throw in the back of your pick up after our lift desserted us, thanks for that!

I'll try and find out if I can about any cover at the new stadium, I agree it would be a massive oversight to expect everyone to be exposed to the elements.

I can't make the friendly today. I noticed in some photos of the training yesterday though, that this guy "Pu" I've mentioned previously was training. His squad number is 12 if anybody going wants to look out for him!

UHT Vana Nava Hua Hin City 5 - 0 Champ Thaicup Phetburi

Firstly getting to the temporary stadium - it was easy. As you approach Tha Yang, you see the large swimming pool to your left and a huge green sign directing you to the stadium. Turn left, and the stadium is about 400 yards in front of you.

The ground itself is very compact, and probably not big enough, so an early arrival on Saturday is advisable. A generous capacity guesstimate would put the capacity at 500. Outside of that, there is plenty of 'free' standing around the perimeter fence.

Provision for car parking was limited (another reason for arriving early on Saturday). Toilet facilities, when compared with Fort Thanarat are 5*. There was 1 small food & drink outlet - whether or not they will cope, we will have to see.

The pitch was OK, with a prominent hump in the centre, and the groundsman needs to re-paint the lines before Saturday. There is no marked technical area.

The match was due to kick off at 4pm. At 4:10pm there wasn't an opposition player in sight. The opposition arrived in dribs and drabs, and kick off was 4:40pm. Because of the late start, the game was restricted to 30 minutes each way.

The 9 supporters waited patiently, and unusually the 5 Farang supporters outnumbered the 4 Thai supporters.

The opposition were a bit rag n' bones. 11 different pairs of socks & shorts :? It was only at the last minute that the laundry lady turned up with 10 matching shirts.

From the start, it was obvious that Hua Hin were far too good for their opposition, and I don't suppose any of the team got out out of 1st gear. It wasn't long before Hua Hin took the lead. Shota did have a scary moment in the first half when he was well beaten by a 30 yard shot, and was grateful to hear the ball smash against the cross bar behind him. At half time it was 1 - 0. The second half became a rout, and had Hua Hin taken it seriously double figures could have been possible.

Sato and Pu stood out. Sato because he was taking the game seriously, and performed very well. Pu, because he was the new boy, and everybody was watching him. He was cool with the ball at his feet, but we never saw him tested in the air.

Are UHT Vana Nava Hua Hin City ready for the new season? Its very hard to say, because today's opposition were not really a strong enough test.

During the second half Mrs BB had a chat with The Black:

- There will not be an event at Market Village on Friday.
- The new strip will arrive in time for Saturday (hopefully). Replica strips will not be available to the public until next month.
- There will be 3 different replica strips this season.
- Nobby Solano will arrive next week (said with a smile, in the same way as some bars in Hua Hin advertise free beer tomorrow).
- When asked about the ex-premiership helper, he just said there were problems,

There was a bit confusion from the guy reporting the game online, he thought there were going to be 3 blocks of 30 mins.... Maybe the other team threw the towel in?!

Doesn't sound like much of a test but hopefully a good run out.

What has happened with the strips?! Not surprised the event at Market Village is postponed if there's no shirts to sell! I thought they'd be keen to make sure they were released.

Ah well, roll on Saturday.....

They did. The 5th goal was totally uncontested - Sato ran past them, and they didn't even try to chase, The 4th wasn't much better - heads were down, and they were well beaten.

Good to get used to a pitch with a hump in the middle - nowhere near as bad as Prachinburi though.

We were told cancelled, not postponed - Market Village were asking too much.

Getting exited in the BB household today. The new season kicks off today, and supporters have been promised a lot, but........................

- Where's Nobby?
- Where's the ex-Premiership player that was coming with him?
- Have the Brazilians been queuing through Immigration since Thursday? Hua Hin shifted some class foreign players to make room for these guys. (Maybe Hua Hin City have a wind up merchant).
- Where's the new kit? We're 50% owned by a shirt manufacturer ffs :? .

At least we should be experiencing our new stadium by June, with its later kick offs to protect supporters from the sun.

A lot of promises have been made recently, but very few are coming to fruition. I hope my excitement/enthusiasm is not misplaced.

We seem to be hearing excuses already, being told this team and that team are very strong this season. Last season we just got on with it and won the league. I sincerely hope the decimation of last season's team is justified - good results will be the only justification.

It is not looking good is it? We have been talking BIG for the last couple of months and have delivered absolutely nothing. We don`t seem to get any answers for even the easiest of questions. A one word answer is all we ask and we can`t get that. I predicted we would become a laughing stock if things didn`t work out and that seems to be the end result of it all. We can`t get the new shirts out for the new season and our 50% owner of the club is a shirt manufacturer. WTF!! The new stadium has no covered area for the supporters from the sun (or rain) because it seems they are already talking about being in the First Division with 6pm kick off times so won`t need them. WTF!! Just a word or warning to the powers that be - we have to not just win the league first but win the Champions League shambles at the end of it aswell, and the team itself doesn`t look as strong as what we had last season. It is a long season and we have to be ready for a fight NOW!! Is Solano coming? Errr, maybe next week. WTF!! Are the Brazilians here? Errrrr wait and see. WTF!!

Yes, last season we were the team that just kept giving. This season we can barely muster a prize for the half time raffle - last time they were giving 2015 calendars - in February :tsk:

Is the mystery meant to install an atmosphere of mysticism? Build up anticipation for the coming season? No, it is frustrating :banghead:

Most things we are being told have been wrong. We're going to walk away with the league this year - has anybody told the other 12 teams that they're playing for the runners up spot? Can they follow a script?

That is exactly the point, isn`t it. It is big news that Hua Hin has a money man investing in the future of the club creating huge media interest and enticing known ex-footballers and footballers the like Thailand has never seen before to a third tier Thai football team to play at a brand new stadium, that to me, isn`t fit for purpose and certainly does not give me cause for great optimism. Everything sounded great but the harsh reality is somewhat a tad different. If Solano isn`t coming tell us and we move on, and even if he does come how long do you think he will stay before he realises things are not what he expected!!

Dearie me ..... there's a happy bunch on here this morning, and that's before the game! :? I certainly hope we don't get beat, or we will have to hide all sharp objects!

It's all a bit surprising ..... I mean if you are really pilgrims and/or Jambos you must be well used to disappointments! :duck:

Onwards and upwards.

Happy Valentines Day to all supporters of Hua Hin City F.C.

Its the constant mis-information. If they've got nothing to say, don't say anything at all. Stop feeding us crap!!!
