Cheers Lost.
I’m a fan of Gyllenhaal and think particularly after watching Love & other Drugs which is a fantastic film.
Recently watched Nightcrawler and Velvet Buzzsaw back-to-back.
Hopefully I can check out Ambulance over the weekend despite fourth-world internet in my current location.

Two excellent movies there. Must have watched Nightcrawler 50 times already.Ginjaninja wrote: ↑Sat Apr 23, 2022 1:38 am Recently watched Nightcrawler and Velvet Buzzsaw back-to-back.

Not seen Love & Other Drugs, downloading now. Could do with something a little more lighthearted now and again.

Love & other Drugs is not light hearted!
It’s up there with the Time Travellers Wife.
One of these films that leaves a lasting impression but you wouldn’t want to be in a hurry to watch it again. If that makes sense…

Apologies, just saw the genre as 'comedy/romance'.Ginjaninja wrote: ↑Sat Apr 23, 2022 2:36 am Love & other Drugs is not light hearted!

‘I Care a lot’ random pick on Netflix. Glad I watched it. Not bad viewing.

Re: The Recommended Movies Thread
"Uncharted" starring Mark Wahlberg and Tom Holland has just dropped on YTS https://yts.mx/movies/uncharted-2022.
Looks to be a decent, fun, action movie and has some good reviews - [EDIT] I'll change that to "mixed reviews" (I'll still give it a go though)! : -

I wasn't expecting much, even by adventure movie standards, but this was a silly film with an even sillier ending.pharvey wrote: ↑Sat Apr 23, 2022 7:25 pm "Uncharted" starring Mark Wahlberg and Tom Holland has just dropped on YTS https://yts.mx/movies/uncharted-2022.

A bit harsh, Pietro, but I forgive you, because that's the sort of person I am.
As for the film, I hope you enjoy it. It's Romancing the Stone without the romance.

Very good, thanks! Fine performances from Gyllenhaal and Hathaway (and the usual typecast showing from Josh GadGinjaninja wrote: ↑Sat Apr 23, 2022 2:50 am Do report back please.

Re: The Recommended Movies Thread
Was chatting to a friend about shows/movies and was reminded about a BBC series called "Moviedrome" from the late 80's that showed cult/classic movies. Very fond memories of the show - some great movies and some so dire that they were funny!!
This list provides an insight to what movies were shown, and plenty that still hold their own and well worth a watch!!
