There was no bigger critic than me in the beginning, but whilst I still think there is still much room for improvement, I think they are doing remarkably well, with only 24 countries worldwide having rolled out more doses.

66+ million people are never going to be vaccinated overnight, but the majority of the 30,000,000 doses have been delivered since June. So they are achieving 10,000,000 a month, which is an average of 333,333 a day. In reality the daily roll out rate is usually exceeding 500,000 these days, so ever improving.

This is a true example of the Generals saying make it so, and the plebs below them moving Heaven and Earth to achieve it.

I think some have registered on pretty much every site available. Then wait to see what comes up first!

Personally, I was registered on 4 different sites. As it turns out, my first registration came good first.

I'm sure there'll be other studies saying different things, mind. Also mentions Russia's Sputnik vaccine and Sinopharm results further down the article, which both performed worse.

AstraZeneca vaccine is the best at keeping people out of hospital with just 1.52 per cent admitted and 1 in 3,000 dying compared to 1.99 per cent for the Pfizer jab, says study

AstraZeneca's Covid vaccine is best at keeping people out of hospital and preventing deaths from the virus, a study has found.

Just 1.52 per cent of people who got the Oxford-made vaccine were admitted to wards after they caught the virus, researchers said. And only 0.03 per cent, or one in 3,000, died from the disease. For comparison, among Pfizer recipients 1.99 per cent were hospitalised and 0.15 per cent died after they were infected with the virus.

all the UK articles and researchers support AZ and all the US ones support Pfizer,

you then take into account that AZ is being sold for Non profit and does not have the budget to pay people to keep writing crap about other vaccines like the US ones do. also russian and chinese ones are bad because US media have told us so.

The above study suggesting AZ has slightly better results than Pfizer, was carried out by researchers from Columbia University of New York and Bahrain.

That is absolutely untrue - as the post from @Lost proves.

I'm not even sure why you would come up with something so ridiculous in the first place. Published clinical studies are subject to peer review and if it was found that the data had been deliberately falsified it would probably mean the end of their career for anyone involved.

Just look at Andrew Wakefield for example - he's the guy that published falsified data about the MMR vaccine being linked to autism that inspired so much of the anti-vaxx sentiment you see nowadays. Once that was discovered, he was discredited, struck off and no longer has a medical career.

That moron briefly featured in a Covid documentary i watched a few months back. After the UK banished him he moved to the States and is still causing mischief and mayhem(and a lot of money) to the gullibles. :banghead:

Staffordshire Covid sceptic Marcus Birks dies in hospital

A Covid sceptic who was hospitalised with the virus and went on to urge other people to get vaccinated has died.

Marcus Birks, 40, from Leek, Staffordshire, died on Friday leaving his family "shattered", his wife said.

He was admitted to the intensive care unit at Royal Stoke University Hospital earlier this month.

The musician had told the BBC he was "shocked" to have become so unwell with the virus because he "rarely got ill".

A sobering message to all the "I don't need the vaccine because I never get ill brigade!!"

^ Several stories in the press with regards to "anti-vaxxers" suffering from and in quite a few cases dying from Covid...... Tells a story IMHO.

I'm certainly all for the vaccine having suffered big style from complications with Covid. I'm already fully vaccinated (with AZ) and will be having a booster jab (along with my flu jab) in 3 weeks time. Not sure if the booster will be AZ or Pfizer or other (didn't ask), but understand they have been mixed.

Booster shots start 'next month'
Covid-19 vaccine booster shots will be administered to about 3 million Thais who have already received their two shots starting from late next month, according to the Department of Disease Control (DDC).

DDC director-general Opas Karnkawinpong said the Public Health Ministry's subcommittee on Covid-19 vaccination agreed the booster shots will be given to Thais from late September until October.

Well that's just great ... some are getting a third while over 40 million people still haven't had their first. :banghead:

Thankfully, it is not the same situation in the UK, although perhaps some will question why I am getting my 3rd/booster jab before many have had their 2nd..... I'm not.

Despite millions who have refused the vaccine, and apparently close to 2 million have refused the Pfizer 2nd dose (following 6 odd million idiots in the US), the UK has a pretty good record : -

You can argue about this after you've listened to it. Please don't dismiss the information based on your opinion of the people providing it.
