Regarding the trouble between West Ham and Millwall fans
I wrote:Some shocking footage on SSN with an advert for the new football hooligan film "The Firm" in between, I kid you not.
They have now got this film as the main sponsor on SSN website.

I'll probably watch it but the double standards is beyond belief.

Yes it was as a spectacle, but from a West Ham perspective losing Upson and Behrami is a big blow. We rarely win this game so not an unexpected result and we didn't really deserve anything from it. Would have been nice if the young lad Hines had got a goal as he did deserve it, although Johnson got to grips with him much better second half. Carragher and Skrtel had a mare though!

Carragher is rapidly going down hill, his errors have cost us a few goals this season.
I'm looking forward to Agger returning as he's potentially our best CB and we need his ability to bring the ball out from the back now Alonso has gone to the darkside.

Torres had his best game this season.

I also want Carlton Cole at Liverpool.

Yeah, Cole is a real handful; without wanting to sound like I'm moaning, refs never seem to give him the benefit of the doubt in 50/50 tussles because he is such a big bloke, and yesterday you could see him getting frustrated with it. The commentators even remarked that he was getting pulled up for just challenging for the ball. Half the time the defender had a handful of his shirt.

I know what you mean.

I watched it happen to Crouch for a few seasons, everytime he won a header, it's annoying as hell to see them get pulled up on it all the time.

That Hines lad looks like he could become a decent player as well.

'Arry doesn't half speak some bollocks!

Does anybody still think Fergie time is a myth?

The Manc derby turned out to be a great game, although I personally thought City quite poor, but when gifted goals like they were.....

I had the time about right. After Bellamy's equaliser it took an age to re-start and that had to be added on to the added time that the 4th official displayed as the equaliser was being celebrated - maybe in future, when that happens, the 4th official should only display the time remaining as the game restarts?

As for Chelsea - not a classic, but job done. Hope Didia is okay?

The beeb on MOTD2 this evening timed it all. I forgot about the substitution. It seems the celebration after Bellamys equaliser was just under a minute, then there was 30 seconds for Caddy's introduction as sub, plus the 4 minutes.....and the beeb made the referee a second out. I think he can be forgiven that! :D

Encouraging performance especially the first 30 minutes. However we have big problems with all the centre backs injured, (Bassong, King, Dawson & Woodgate) and our best creative midfielder modric out with a broken leg :(

Need push on now, Burnley next at WHL. 3 points out of nine against Chelsea, Man U, Liverpool ain't so bad normaly would have 0.

:D :D :D

i wouldn't suggest it woud have made the final outcome any different, but the howler by webb (the keane penalty that wasn't  ) could have changed the game :?
considering he is supposed to be the prem's best ref, he doesn't half make some major errors :|
the question is, if it wasn't a pen (& it was, clearly!!), why didn't he book keane for diving (which he didn't!!!!)? :? :? :?

unfortunately, football games last 90 mins (or 90 plus injury time, or if it's OT, until manure score a winner)  :D

Well, you just answered your own question. The majority of challenges that lead to a penalty claim are not dives, as witnessed in almost every game. Player goes down under a challenge and its not given - end of!

Personally, I thin Keane was lucky not to get booked for clearly saying the same to the referee during the game, it was a dumb thing to do as were 'Arry's comments after the game to the same effect.

It clearly was a penalty, it was also clear from the ref's positioning why he didn't (couldn't) see it.

I actually think Chelsea had a legitimate penalty claim turned down resulting from a handball after a Lamps free kick - 'twas a great save from the defender in the wall - trouble being he's not meant to use his hands! :?

No woulnd't have thought the penalty would have made any difference once King went off, Chelsea are nigh on impossible to beat on their own turf!
