Spurs unbeaten in 7. Won 3 drawn 4. Youngest team in the Premier League.

Can't complain.

I wouldn't get too cocky, it's early days yet. That 'drawn 4' stat is not encouraging for a start, as we should have won at least 2 of those, including Swansea yesterday. And we shouldn't have lost at Man U on the opening day of the season. Those 5 points would have put us level top.

But yes, there are some encouraging signs, particularly with Son, Dele Alli and Eric Dier. Even Lamela is showing occasional signs that he's not a complete waste of space. Eriksson seems to be in top form and Ryan Mason will be back soon. Let's get Kane back on song and a top 4 slot should be an expectation rather than a fingers-crossed hope.

I can't remember where I read it, but someone said yesterday re Brendan Rodgers that Liverpool were in danger of becoming another Spurs, i.e. a club that thinks its one of the big ones but that the truly top clubs don't give too much thought to.
Hurtful as that is, there's an element of truth to it - that's what we need to change. We can only do that by winning consistently.

True d-m, but also remember that we have managed to score two goals against ourselves so far - bloody awful gaffs that could have changed much.............

At last some good news for the beleagured Chelsea fans on the forum.......

Branislav Ivanovic was substituted in Serbia's win over Albania last night after suffering a hamstring injury that could keep him out for a while :rasta: .......plus Chelsea have signed Amelia.....no,not as a replacement for Eva Carneiro....he's a former AC Milan and Italy goalkeeper signed as cover with Courtois sidelined for a while !

More good news for Chelsea, a few weeks ago they were 11 points adrift, now it is down to 10

Single/Season Ticket prices have been a big item in the news over the last couple of days, and some of the figures are quite something.....

Cheapest season ticket - £295 (Stoke)
Most expensive - £2,015 (Arsenal)

Whereas for a season ticket prices elsewhere in Europe: -

Benfica - £75, Bayern Munich £105, Lille £120....... Just seems incredible to me. Guess you need the high ticket prices to afford the over-paid primadonnas' salaries.

One classic comment (if true of course).. "It costs more to by a pie at Brighton (£4.10), than to watch a match at Anderlecht!!"

What makes it all the more galling is that the Premiership gets so much money from the various TV rights, still if you're paying the likes of Rooney £1 million a month to score the odd goal, I guess somebody has to pay for it!!

And I think Man City have announced something like an £11 M profit? And Bayern Munich roughly the same last year....

Roll on Saturday, only one thing worse than the end of season for Premiership fans is the international break.

I have a confession to make, I have never watched a Sunday Pub league game, but the first half of Spurs v Liverpool might be on a par. Maybe things will improve in the second half but Klopp seems to have a challenge on his hands.

I like Klopp but he has inherited a pretty mediocre squad......plus long term injuries to Ings,Gomez,Flanagan and Henderson......Sturridge is injured again,also......a comeback that lasted one game ?.....and not forgetting the big money signings Benteke and Firmino who are also out.
Comfortable wins yesterday for City,Arsenal and,surprisingly,United.......good to see Herrera actually getting a game !
And Chelsea now up to 11th.....just six points of a Champions League spot.....why did we ever worry ?

I agree there. In 20 odd years of watching football, I literally can't think of a worse game that I've watched.

90 minutes of absolute crap by both teams. The whole stadium of supporters should have been given their money back. Nothing positive to come out of that match. Two points dropped in my book. All the other decent'ish' teams did what they needed to do and nailed their games this weekend. We've also lost Chadli for six weeks to boot.

A weekend to forget.

Still - unbeaten in eight but I fear an old chant will creep it's way into White Hart Lane soon...

Maybe Chelsea should try and sign up David Moyes to guide them to a respectable 7th before the season ends
