Didn't Newcastle blow a bigger lead under Keegan? Would be great to see Liverpool take it though! :thumb:
Yes he did

12 points and in January too

But Liverpool won't blow it, it's all over!

Look at you, Pharvey! Throwing out some great football knowledge there. Don't know if it's actually true or not but proud of you mate.
Hell, just age - just seem to remember Keegan spitting blood many moons ago!!

^ That might just be the one!

[EDIT] Though for some reason I have the vision of him getting on/off the Team Coach/Bus and having a blow-out!

It’s definitely true and at one stage Newcastle had a 12 point gap at the top of the table, only for Fergie to get his act together and eventually Man Utd ran out clear winners (it was the 95/96 season).

A lot of games last night with some interesting results. Liverpool were made to look beatable despite playing well enough to earn a 3-3 draw against Newcastle - great game with chances galore at both ends. Chelsea had a comfortable win and Arsenal looked good against Man Utd. Man City ended their losing streak with a comfortable win against Forrest and Everton had a much needed comfortable win against Wolves.

Looks like the season has a long way to go before we know who will lift the trophy!!

We better bloody win today. I mean it.

My patience for this "Jekyll and Hyde" Tottenham is wavering. A win keeps us well in the mix.

Must admit, it does seem a tad quiet on the Spurs Front..... :duck:

I'm reluctant to say much at the moment. Can't even see us 'bouncing back' until we get a full squad back. And strengthen our squad in January. Very disillusioned if I'm honest.

Manchester United seem to keep perking my spirits in the football world, mind. They're the gift that keeps on giving. Here's a short clip of United's keeper running down the clock for Forest in the dying moments of the game tonight...

No Tottenham or Chelsea supporters available today? Crazy match, careless goals, stupid fouls and lots of goals - what more could you ask for?

It really was a very strange game! Despite all the advances in technology surrounding the game, you can still get a numpty footballer entering the pitch wearing the wrong studs. I mean, how basic is that? And it cost us not one, but two goals. In the first 10 minutes. Then he changed his boots. Brain dead.

But as we all now know, that's as good as it got for Spurs. Chelsea thereafter looked the better, balanced team, with players, basically better than their spud equivalents, bar one or two.

The tactical tweak at half time, led at one stage, to Chelsea having more than 80% of possession, and unlike other teams, we have several players who can take advantage of that and Spurs went into panic mode and we went into a deserved 4-2 lead. Before further less astute changes from the same mastermind that orchestrated the 2nd half charge, led to huge confusion in the Chelsea ranks and the spuds scored a late consolation as a consequence.

In hindsight, it was all in Chelseas power to win or lose that game, not the Spuds.

But against better teams, we will struggle. Sanchez is a great shot stopper, but his distribution continues to be shocking, and we got away with that a couple of times yesterday. And hopefully a fit James will re-emerge that stays fit, but that is now questionable. And we need Fofana back to partner Colwill, asap.

And we have Palmer.
