[quote="JimmyGreaves"]At last we have the current score being shown on the TV during the game. Was getting really pissed off not knowing what the score was if I joined late or pooped out of the room for a while.[/quote

Just make sure you don`t poop for too long. lol

Here's a quirky look at the business side of the event, by the sounds of it FIFA are a bunch of fascists:

Well you have to make money to pay those overpaid primadonnas and their hangers on (aka parasites in FIFA). Same same Berny Egoston, Sef Fatter, Jack Rogue.

As for that pathetic Eyetie who staged for a free kick and fell over his own laces - send off and send home.

In Johannesburg the FIFA had 36 “Bavaria-Babes” arrested after the match Netherlands- Denmark.
They were dressed in an orange dress of Dutch Brewer: Bavaria.

This was done to protect the rights of the official sponsors, in this case: Budweiser.
The FIFA have even considered, letting the girls take out their dresses in the stadium, during the game.
But the officials realized that this would have probably given more publicity.
Bavaria responded surprised, because their name is not even on the dress and since when is there a dress-code for going to a football match?

Spain, , more of a shocker than England.

15 straight international wins, I think, before this. The great under achievers along with Holland.

Not quite - they got beaten by the team England drew with in the first game recently! :thumb:

Will there now be a great wailing and gnashing of teeth in the Spanish press. At least England didn`t lose.

Incidentally, Helen Mirren admitted on the Letterman show in the US that she was pleased the USA didn`t lose to "Britain" in the world cup as she would have been embarassed to appear on the show in the light of the BP oil disaster. Why not just send back her Damehood, or whatever it`s called.

Will the spaniard "players" give back some of their years pay to help the spanish economy or are they trying to get good odds?? They don't have gnashing in spain only lashings !!
As for the Bavaria babes- I bet they were pulled in by the fuzz and made to take their dresses off!

Hate to say it, but the Argies are doing well, just have wait to see what happens when they come across some decent opposition. They seem to be doing the attacking all-out plan, defence weakish, not sure how that will work against the better European teams though.

We'll see, Diego 'cocaine' Maradona could come good but it'll be good to see them fail miserably ............what? I'm English.

:naughty:

Scenario

England vs Argentina in the final

On the touchline - Maradona on his knees praying for the 'hand of God'
On the touchline - Fabio dressed as a Roman centurion with dagger drawn
In the terraces - Thumbs up
:D :D

Just an observation, but has anybody else noticed a much improved picture quality on their TV when watching World Cup football? My setup at home is a 32" flat screen TV, HD enabled. but only receiving a basic Freeview signal.

Prior to the World Cup my picture when watching football was acceptable, but far from perfect. I would go as far as saying these World Cup pictures are 100% better. Good news :)
Championship Plymouth Argyle 1 - 2 Leeds Utd

Points 46; Position 23 RELEGATED
