So the odd one out it Falcata because it comes from the Iberian Peninsula?
No, I think it is No. 3, as it is a throwing weapon, not a sword or knife.

The khopesh was primarily a slashing weapon? I think so?? If you threw it as you suggest Nereus...maybe it would have a boomarang effect and come back on you because of it's shape :naughty:

Please explain.
Oi!
Has it got to do with Hadrians Wall and the Romans?

Yep - 43AD (when JC would have been 43) the Romans came for good. Wanted Britain's mineral resources. Couldn't take bonny Scotland so built the wall to keep those woad-covered savages where they belonged. (Until they all joined the civil service and moved to London).

OK...

1) Falcatta sword from Iberia
2) Kukri from Nepal
3) Khopesh from Egypt

two are linked, one is the odd weapon out (and its not that the Kukri is classed as a knife)

and who is the famous historical character that links the two linked weapons?

Is no 1 and no 3 linked because no 2 also has a little knife as well as the big one? (I think it was used to cut off ears!)
Is the character a military man? Tiny clue?

Is the Kukri the odd one out due to the fact that it is a versatile survival knife - used as a tool as well as for combat.

Correct! :) The cup was made by Spode for the VIP Deck. I know this because I had one the same about 8 years ago. It was taken of the ship before it left Queenstown by visitors.
Spode's pattern R4332, Rd.No.580303 (1911), was easily the most expensive and prestigious china service on board, for th A' la carte Restaurant of Titanic.

I only knew the info when I found mine by googling the name Spode and pattern number on the back of the saucer. It all came up then with "patterns for the Titanic". The one I had was chipped but it still made approx £3200 plus premium! This was at Henry Aldridge & Son in Devizes who specialise in Titanic Memorabilia. not bad for a cracked cup!

The flag is the Cunard White Star ensign that would have been displayed on the Titanic, so I guess the cup and saucer was salvaged from the Titanic?

It seems that the Kukri is linked to the Khopesh, by Alexander the Great.
