Been ordering from Shopee lately and what a difference. Either no or minimal shipping charges and stuff arrives within two days. Laz on the other hand is the complete opposite in all regards.

I know that many people (myself included) have been fairly critical of Lazada and the cost of shipping, but after looking for a replacement lawnmower (the old one was 9 years old and more than on its last legs) on Shoppee and Lazada, the best deal was on Lazada, with the added bonus that shipping on the particular model I have chosen was free. I only ordered it today so not expecting delivery until 2-3 days, but I’m pleasantly surprised so far -hopefully the delivered product will meet my expectations but it’s made by Daewoo so I’m reasonably optimistic.

I personally don't have a problem with Laz but I do have a big problem with one of their couriers Flash Express. Over the years they constantly have the longest delivery time and the icing on the cake was the big glass jar I ordered to make my pineapple beer arrived yesterday. When I opened the reasonably well packed box, yep, you guessed it, the jar was in a million pieces. I can only assume that Flash saw the Fragile stickers on the box and thought it would be a great idea to have a game of footie with it. :cuss:

And yes I will be complaining when Laz send me the update E mail. Not their fault but should consider sacking Flash as a courier :thumb:

:agree:

I've written of other experiences with this company before, The latest item I ordered on 27 July was due for delivery in 2 days. A Flash tracking number was added to he order, together with a 'will be picked up by 30 July'. It is now 31 July, and the order still shows 'will be picked up by 30 July'.

I did try Shopee, but the item would have cost 2,000฿ more.

I could have been doing Flash an injustice this time.

2 Aug came, and the item was still waiting to be picked up. I contacted the seller, and they assured me the package was with Flash, and I would have the item soon.

Today, the item was still showing as waiting to be picked up. I contacted the company, and they tried telling me it was down to the bad weather.

I questioned the bad weather, and they came back and told me there were now traffic jams delaying delivery :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I got straight back to them, and asked if they thought I was stupid (they didn't answer that one, and I don't need that question addressing on the Forum :D ).

They came back again, this time with the truth. The item was out of stock in Thailand, and it was taking longer than usual because it was coming from China.

OK, I was getting somewhere at last. Not the answer I was looking for, but probably the truth (I'd noticed the same item on Shopee was out of stock, but I could have pre-ordered for delivery in 20 days). I told them my feelings regarding their deceit. I was not happy that I had chosen them for speedy supply, and was paying a 105฿ delivery cost to receive the item in 2-5 days.

Of course, TIT and further resistance is futile. I have to await their request for product review now, at which time I can inform/warn the rest of Thailand about this company's unscrupulous methods.

Being that you may or may not receive the item, can you cancel the order and get a refund or did you order COD? In which case you could cancel the item and forget about them.

It is COD - I wouldn't risk that much cash otherwise.

When searching for the item, price was a big factor, followed by delivery times. This one was very competitively priced (not the cheapest), other pieces available in Thailand were at least 4,000฿ more expensive. The same items on Shopee started at 2,000฿ more with a long lead time, and coming from China. Now these guys have maybe started talking the truth, it's worth waiting a couple of days more, because if it arrives, savings will be considerable. I'm not happy, but I'll wait until Monday to see if anything worthwhile happens.

I would imagine the principle is the same but I haven't actually tried it so can't advise much.

LAZ has updated how the refund COD, and process is much easier than before. No more to the wallet, which we can't use, then requesting refund, with photo of bank book & passport.

Last refund, for product and return shipping (refunded separately) was quick & easy. No thanks to the vendor / total deceitful wank, who I had to go up the ladder to LAZ to get the refund. LAZ has always been easy to deal with, sorry can't say the same about some of the vendors.

I wish they would have some kind of vetting process for the vendors - it seems they let anyone sell any old shit they want, there is so much fake stuff on there peddled as genuine you have to be very careful.

I agree 200%. I've already spilled my woes about my current problems. They are assuring me they will expedite my item. I've tried contacting other sellers of the same item (I don't want to cancel an item that is supposedly on the way if I can't order another). Every attempt at contact with other vendors remains unread.

Shopee simply says pre-order, will arrive one day from China.

Same as LAZ, the vendors are the problem when there is one on return / refunds. I've had very good luck with both, actually most of my online shopping. Banggood, AliExpress, Ebay, though don't use ebay any more. Only negative experiences have been with GearBest / Gworst.

Central online is decent also, though rarely priced competitively. Once you have the 'category' displayed, can filter for 'best discount / high to low', and will pull things up in that order, and once lower than 70% off, you can stop looking, as starting prices are silly sometimes. Some nice bargains lately. HomePro is good also, if decent manufacturer's sale, as they discount if ordered online & delivered vs buying at the store, and strangely, can pick up at the store.

Had a 'strange' experience with LAZ, on a current order. Ordered, showing 'packed waiting to ship, by July31', then nothing for a few days. While looking at that, an advert for same item, ฿1200 less (3700 vs 4900). Kicker was, same vendor ... say what.

So I place in cart, then attempt to cancel other order, and won't allow, stating 'in shipping process', but not shipped  So I order it, both are COD, as didn't want to ask vendor to cancel while ordering, as might cancel cheaper one instead. Figure if 1st arrives, I just won't accept. Not the best option, but hey, is what it is.

Next day, I get msg from vendor, original order cancelled, and no real excuse for it. Great, I won't feel like a smuck for refusing on arrival. So now waiting game to see if 2nd order actually gets shipped, and it does. While checking the status, notice it's at ฿5000 now & out of stock ... 🤣🤣🤣

Mind boggling

Main issue I have with LAZ, is their 'in site' search algorism sucks. I can't find things I know they sell. I've even copy and pasted, an item, place in their search engine, to look for more vendors & better price, and get 'no item available', not even the one I'm looking at. Always use Google to search an item, then at lazada co th, with the '.' and it will pull many more vendors / prices. Along with using the 'shopping' link in Google, especially after viewing all the images displayed, then click on 'view all'

priceza is another site to use, and will bring up different vendors for comparison shopping.
