the little shop in Pranburi where the bypass joins Petchkasem
Buksi, I've driven by there many times and haven't noticed that shop. Can you be a little more specific about it's location (east or west side of the road? any landmarks or signs to watch for?). Thanks
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Hi hhfarang

A couple of hundred metres after you pass the bypass junction there's a row of shops on your left and it's almost at the end of that.

By the way, when is the next fun golf day out - I really enjoyed the last one!!

Thanks Buksi for the original suggestion and Barry for the location clarification. I highly recommend this shop for anyone headed that way or living in the South end of town.

My wife needed gloves (2 as she is Thai and doesn't want one hand browner that the other). We had looked around town and they ranged from 750 to 1000 baht per glove! At the Pranburi shop we got two gloves for 550 baht! Well worth the 15 minute drive from our house near Takiab. :thumb:

I've created a monster here. The wife is now decked out with new clubs, shoes and all accessories and has played 36 holes over the last two days. She's hooked big time. I can't convince her yet for her and girl friends to each have a Chang before hole 1. :D She's not doing bad for a complete beginner. Shot 125 day one and 115 today. Pete

Sounds like she's gonna kick your butt in short order Pete. Mine hasn't beaten me yet but I fear that day is coming very soon as my scores keep going up and hers keep coming down!

Yes, I haven't played with her yet but the day is coming. I drove the cart today for about 5 holes then left them to their fun. They sure do have a good time, the laughing never stops, especially when their ball goes in the drink. :D Pete

I can relate to that one - needless to say the clubs have gone into the cupboard under the stairs never to be seen again and its time to take up kite boarding.

I haven't seen this one before but is the best I've seen concerning listings. Not totally complete though. Pete

As long as you remember to hit the ball, with the irons, off your left, not right, heel and don't stab at the ball around the greens, it might take a while for your missus to beat you.
Mind you, I've never seen her play.

There ought to be, but the green fees will be going up to crazy levels again at the end of this month.
As a fun day out, I've never seen anything wrong with Dolphin Bay.
What do others think?

Hi lomuamart

Dolphin Bay or Tanarat would be fine with me.
Any day or time is good.

Then let's try and organise something at Dolphin Bay. For those who havn't been there, don't expect a course in the same shape as Springfield, but it's free to play, 9 holes, plenty of water and a good layout.
As said, the condition isn't brilliant, but we can introduce winter rules and other local ones for ourselves to give everyone a chance round there.
There's a "clubhouse/eating area" for food and drink and a pit stop that's normally open at the 6th tee.
Anyone interested, post here. When we get an idea of numbers, we can look for a suitable date.
