I agree that England were atrocious against Algeria but for any Englishman to hope they lose against Slovenia and come home early is a disgrace, shame on you.

I like him playing for Chelsea and am pleased he's just signed an extension! :D Its a bit odd, as he's not the sulky, moody soul he once was. I think this is a small part of a bigger malaise in the French squad and their relationship with their manager.

Ha ha, maybe Mr C, it's the prima donna factor that gets my goat, forgive my prejudice.

Multi millionaire one brain cell stars who think they are bigger than the game

Anelka, Rooney et al

I admire their skills on the field but that's all

Football is becoming a sick game and the enthusiastic supporter suffers :cuss: :cuss:

Watching the england game it made me wonder about capello as a manager.
1. Why play Gerrard up front Lampard has a far better scoring record this season and watching Gerrard shoot i thought he was playing rugby the misses were so high.
2 Play joe cole he will play his heart out and he is looking for another club and will wnt to demonstrate how good he is.
3 why play heskey up front his goal scoring record is abysmal rooney should be up front possibly with the giraffe on roller skates
4 Barry was not bad and james looked safer than green
5 carragher was useless about as fast as a crawling slug
6 if we get through i will be surprised they cannot string 4 passes together
A VERY BAD PERFORMANCE :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
Woke up this morning breathing that's a good start to the day.

For the french-speaking members. Thats what Anelka said:

I am not good enough in English to translate it well.

Top South African "security" aside, what would you have said to the under-performing, overpaid twonkers should you have found yourself in the same position as "Pavlos"........

Rumblings in the news this morning he may indeed quit. Perhaps for the best. Pete

Who would have thunk it, the Kiwis doing better than the Aussies in the WC! It will be an interesting tournament if France, Spain, Italy and England all go out in the group rounds!
