SJ, it is drunk in a large glass, is a long drink rather than a short. One tip though, try not to drink 6 or 8pts of Stella before you start on them..

If you do make sure you have someone to guide you home safely and make sure you do not appear on You Tube the next morning laying in the gutter. (And before you ask, I have yet to make an appearance on there).

 Yes for me it was Hienakin or Singa mostly around 70Baht a bottle even in 2003-2004 so prices don't seem to have gone up much.
I tried the beer in Hilton pub I think it was called monkey something, expensive and not worth the money.
I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.

I was charged 20 THB for a glass of ice with my beer at the Hilton once.
Not about the money but I thought it was a bit weird..

I didnt come there often anyway, but now it will even less or not any more.

For me it is clear..
Lucky Shot has the best tables and also takes care of them.
Most tables are not to old and levelled good!

Everyone his taste.. I prefer the Americain style tables. The snooker tables with pool balls do not fancy me to much, but others think it is nicer.

Greetings,

Hold on a minute. My grandmother (Farmor) was Norwegian and as a young boy I was given a wooden bowl for drinking milk. Later on in life, beer tasted pretty good out of it as well.
Don't like the prices though. At least the time I visited Norway I was too young to have to pay

Norway and Japan have the highest cost of living in the world, maybe the highest in the entire universe.

Price level in No(r)way.

a bottle of J&B or Ballantines in the Vine & liquer Monopolly 30£
1/2 litre of local beer in the supermarket from 2 - 3 £
20 cigarettes 7,5 £ in the supermarket.
a bread in the supermarket 2 - 3 £
Toyota Hilux Vigo 3,0 Diesel, automatic gear, 4 x 4 £; 57.000,-
I think i will stay in Thailand 4 ever.

That's what you get with Socialism... the government has to tax everything so heavily to pay for the free services that the cost of living goes out of control... the U.S. is headed in that direction at a very rapid pace! :D
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Back to the Beer

It's a shame the government saw fit to impose a 5 Baht tax on every bottle from the wholesalers. This makes the wholesale price 25 Baht (chang) upwards this is one reason why the bars can't really charge less than 70-80 per bottle even though tourism is down.

Chang is elephant beer for a reason I dont know whats in it but it's lethal stuff and not in a good way like a good old pint of Wife beater

Leo is the popular drink and it's easy to drink no hangover

Singha nice beer but I sometimes find it a bit heavy going after 10

Archer tastes a bit weak but for under 300 Baht for a box of 12 Yay bottles who's complaining

When I lived in Spain i was buying Cans from the local supermarket for 9 baht a can (4.5% strength) I think the wholesale price of these beers can come down a bit so the bars can get them to 50-60 Baht bottle.
