I am beginning to think that m_right may be correct on the 150 Bt side of the coin

I am beginning to think USA cards may be 150Bt and UK 15Bt

maybe some posters could state nation / card / 15Bt /150Bt

I am UK and its 15Bt per transaction

we may well be debating at cross purposes

I'm all USA cards Sarge and it's still 150, but I only use Ayudhya and the same machine all the time. If I have a chance to check around at Siam or elsewhere I'll post. I also have an HSBC from HK but not used in a long time so maybe doesn't work. If it does, I'll report as well. Pete

My daughter uses my UK (NatWest) card, and she (I) gets hit for 150 every time.

I look after a friend of mine's finances from the UK, and she has just started getting hit with 150 when using her Nationwide card. the factor there though is that when using the card in Khon Kaen it was free, and when she moved to Bangkok the 150 started.

I have to say up to the 5th Nov (bonfire night) i never recieved any charges at all on my nationwide debit card i have used it 4 times at bank of ayudhaya and in particular today and the charge was 15 Bt

I did a quick check back on the 150Bt topic and it just seemed that our american cousins were the ones that were getting charged

Nope. I had to suck out mucho for my daughters 2nd term tuition this week. 20 on ATM and 20 on debit and the 150 was the same on both.....USA cards mind you.

I did it that way as ATM is supposed to be limited to $500 per 24 hours, which I guess it isn't given 20 @ 33 per 1. The debit is unlimited based upon what you have in the account. Pete

.....before you ask, my debit card goes through the Visa or Mastercard system as can be seen by the PLUS insignia and others on the back of the card. It operates the same as a credit card as far as withdrawal clearance is concerned, but the amount is dictated by your bank's rules.....total in account can be withdrawn, or a lesser amount.

To be honest, I don't know if/why my ATM card doesn't operate in the same way as it's really doing the same thing as a debit card. Perhaps set up of computer systems involved, I don't know. Pete

Why have Kasikorn been at least half a baht to the pound above all the other banks for the last few weeks?

Sarge has been getting his withdrawals from Ayudhya, SCB are charging 150b, Ayudhya aint.

eeerrrmmmm YES before i go to withdraw i check rate and after to check what rate i recieved and here is the kicker I deduct 15Bt before i calculate it

I have been watching that and it used to be Bank of Ayudhaya at the top maybe thats why they are only charging 15Bt

If I was a betting man i would put a few soveriegns on Barclays i eventualy won a long drawn out battle using the ombudsman for the crap they put me through for over a year and got my phone costs back as posted before and again in this post I only USED ONE singular ATM machine and had to phone for every single transaction for over nine months

Been using the same ATM machine for about 5 years and as long as it keeps only charging me 15Bt i will stay with it even if it is a mistake it makes me feel better at least

As i say let ATMs sleep for when they wake my account will tremble
