Car Park Tokens - Why?

Yes I mean the entire token concept BB. OK it might seem like an unwieldy system to us - but if it works for them - and if it means there is some degree of security I wouldn't question it to be honest.
What we tend to forget is that automated systems - anywhere - result in less staff, and therefore less security.

OK, but the security guard is either going to sleep or patrol - who knows? The issue of a plastic token is not going to make him/her act any differently.
