The beers are in the fridge and lasagna in the oven. Let the fun begin. One month of football sounds good holiday entertainment to me.

You get to watch it at a reasonable time though.

For me; the beers are already drunk, I'm full from my evening meal and at 10.30pm (Thai Time), I might last another hour before I'm ready for bed. (Gotta work tomorrow).

Still, looking forward to an exciting championship this year, some of the games are early enough for me to get involved.

Best of luck to all, whichever team you are supporting.

Well, we're likely to lose each and every game, but it's the first time we've been in a major (Wendyball) tournament for nigh on 60 years...... what the hell, COME ON WALES!!

I think our canny, lifelong,Arsenal fan arcadian is making a subtle reference to the England striker,Harry Kane, who gave a lethargic performance last night apart from taking corners !
After England scored I think Woy should have substituted 'Arry for Vardy who could have run at the Russian defence already stretched by being 1-0 down.
You just knew when Milner replaced Sterling with under 10 minutes left that that was the end of Englands attacking ambition and they had shut up shop. They certainly paid for that in the second minute of injury time. :(
Some pundits are going for Rooney as man of the match.I disagree.I would give it to the goalscorer,Dier, who had an excellent game protecting the defence and setting up attacks from his own half.

Oh,well done Wales btw. :rasta: Good luck to Northern Ireland tonight.

Yeah, what was that all about ? He should have been in the middle trying to get his big head on the ball. Not as if they were good corners fizzed in with pace and swerve, 2 out of 4 long corners in the first half he over hit and missed everybody, what a waste. :cuss: :banghead:

It was OK until Wilshere got out of his seat. I thought Rooney was having a good game - was he injured, or did Woy want to make a game of it?

Did anybody else watch the Euros propaganda about the multiple security gates fans would have to get through to watch a match, making it impossible to get banned items into the grounds? What happened? How did the Ruskies get pyrotechnics into the ground yesterday?

How easy for some real nutters to get real explosives in?

Absolutely - incredible really considering the supposed heightened security!

Agree with that Zidane. I thought bad management lost us two points there. Kane was quiet all game and should have been swapped for Vardy. Rooney shouldn't have been subbed. The structure shouldn't have been changed much but ol Roy went into a complete defensive panic mode which ultimately cost us.

I understand that it's difficult (for an Arsenal fan) watching an England team that's made up of half the Spurs' squad in its first 11 and not a single Arsenal man but Harry Kane is obviously our best striker - just a bad day at the office for him. I've no doubt he'll come good.

Let's not forget... in the history of the Euros, we have never won the opening game. If we don't get a result against Wales then we are in some real trouble.
