Medical check-up package at Hua Hin hospital
Re: Medical check-up package at Hua Hin hospital
Express Clinic facility is now 450 baht. I was there yesterday. The clinic is now situated on the 5th floor of the Violet building

I queried that, and it was explained that it now includes the consultation fee, which it did.

Re: Medical "MOT" check-up at Hua Hin hospital
It seems the hospital does have a clinic on Naebkehat Road, so it's a bit confusing having the Naebkehat clinic in the actual hospital as well. This clinic only treats four types of problem though, using both traditional and modern medicine. According to the sign in Thai: 1. Disability/paralysis 2. Migraine 3. Slipped knee joint 4. Allergic breathing problems.buksida wrote: ↑Thu Feb 21, 2019 11:17 amThis doesn't appear to be in the actual hospital, says its down Naebkehardt road, can they perform all of the same procedures as the hospital? (I may need additional tests not on that list).Big Boy wrote: ↑Thu Feb 21, 2019 10:16 am This is where you need to go - probably the most comfortable hospital in Hua Hin - excellent service.

Is the brand new building on the ocean side of road, about 6 storeys, opposite 7 11 and soi 53? I thought it was a new condo/hotel buildinghhinner wrote:It seems the hospital does have a clinic on Naebkehat Road, so it's a bit confusing having the Naebkehat clinic in the actual hospital as well. The facility on Naebkehat Road is basically a portakabin city. I believe the main purpose is things like massage/alternative medicine.
As I've said previously, you need to go to the 5th floor of the purple building at the main hospital for a medical check-up.

Yes. It's a new building for HH Hospital. Currently for the 4 ailment groups stated above. It's called a medical centre so more facilities may open in the future.thecolonel wrote:Is the brand new building on the ocean side of road, about 6 storeys, opposite 7 11 and soi 53? If they sort my migraines out I'll forgive them for not building apartments there! Worse in Thailand than UK, so they owe me that much at least!Big Boy wrote:The facility on Naebkehat Road is basically a portakabin city. I believe the main purpose is things like massage/alternative medicine.

I did my first MOT at the new clinic in Hua Hin Hospital today. Very impressed. Apart from the x-ray, everything is done in the clinic including payment. No more flitting around the departments jumping queues and making me feel guilty.
The first thing is to take your blood which is why it was necessary to fast after 8pm the day before. That done, they send you for breakfast and meet at the x-ray dept in 45 mins.
Took all morning but the waiting is very comfortable. Recommended.

There are lots of tests. Each test has a cost. If you refuse certain ones then it becomes cheaper.
I turned down HIV testing, stool test and a couple of others which I thought unnecessary. My total bill was 2,700 which included some medication.

One thing that did come to mind, but nothing specifically to do with the hospital, is the Thai's reliance on colour to identify different things. The banks are known by their colour, days have colours as well as each day having a 'bad luck colour'. Directions in the hospital works with colours "Yellow building 2nd floor" or "5th floor purple building"
Catch the red bus or the orange bus etc etc
With banks and buildings, I actually think it's a good idea. Maybe a bit kindergardenish for some, but it works.

I think that the extraordinary expensive Bangkok Hospital HH, has had a great effect in raising the quality of Medical care in HH. It has achieved this by making hospitals like HHH raise its level of care and patient satisfaction efforts.

I actually knew that but it was specifically aimed at transport maps along with the non-geometrical representation of transport maps. I'm not sure anywhere else have taken it to the level that Thailand have. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Good info. Can you book it or just rock up on the morning? Is there a lot of waiting around or are you seen pretty quickly?
