How long is a bit of string....

It nearly keeps me awake at night in the UK

Wondering if we will have enough... im sure we will manage...

But after bills and Petrol i only spend about 12-14K Baht a week

in the UK....especially with these day winter nites!!!

We will buy a house and then will be living in the 20-30K baht a month range...

Mind when i was a young one id spend that in a weekend in Bongkak :D

Bradders: Parahandy and I live quite comfortably on about 30,000 baht a month. We don't skimp on food or drink, but we don't frequent the bars or restaurants in Hua Hin. We eat at home because P. loves to cook, but we may have the occasional lunch in Hua Hin when we're shopping.

We have the benefit of living way out of town and the cost of living is considerably cheaper (we pay 2,000 baht a month to rent a perfectly decent house with a large garden).

If you're going to live in or close to Hua Hin, then I guess about 50,000 baht a month should suffice. It depends how much company you need in the evenings...

My friend in Chiang Mai spends about 9,000 baht per month. This includes all her room, bike, car bills, food and drink etc.
I spend about double that. For HH a dude only needs about 30,000 baht per month.
If you go with more than one chick a month you might need more cash.

It is rather difficult to be sure how much we spend a month as we are remodeling a condo and that keeps bringing up extra expenses. About as close as I could get is somewhere between 30,000 and 50,000 a month. Once we are done remodeling I think 30,000 B a month will cover it nicely. but then those little extras keep popping up like 4 nights in BKK or a new Telly or etc etc. etc. :D
