This seems to be quite an extensive problem; driving down the canal road yesterday evening a considerable number of trucks were filling buckets and barrels from the canal.

Thank you so much, lindosfan. That's very kind of you. :)

A friend dropped by 2 large (26l) bottles today of her own tap water (she's in Pranburi so has had no water probs) & I bought in a further 10 5 & 6litre bottles of drinking water, but between the dogs' drinking needs & our needs, it seems to be going down fast. One of those bottles is earmarked for a hairwash tomorrow - I feel so grubby! I think it's psychological, as I'm still having a bloomin' good allover wash twice a day. I really think 5 mins under a shower makes you feel much cleaner than an allover wash & a couple of jugs of water. Lord help me if I ever went anywhere (like some African countries) where there was a serious water shortage.

I'll probably be OK, especially if the supply does come back tomorrow - but thanks again for the offer & if the water doesn't come back, I may be pm'ing you. Thanks. :thumb:

Just as a matter of interest, has anyone been receiving supplies yet? We're still off, but I did hear a trickle going into the tank earlier. It's stopped now.

Still not a trickle of water this morning.

I had to go to the center, anyway, so decided to be clever & loaded myself, littl'un, a big bottle (empty) and 10 x 5 or 6 litre bottles in a black bag onto a motorbike taxi.
Did my bits & pieces & filled all the containers. Also found 2 unused bins at the center, so washed them out & filled them, too. We had to drop some neutered dogs back at their 'home', so I loaded all the water onto the songthaew I'd ordered, & them in a cage on the back (with a bin full of water next to them). Let the dogs go. Went home.

Hauled all the water into my home - still mighty pleased with myself for thinking of this & wondering whether I could actually flush my loo etc. Heard a familiar sound & checked... yep, the tank was filling. I have water again (completely full tank now). I also have quite a lot spare, too... Sod's law, isn't it?  :thumb:

Yet they still allow more & more hotels, resorts, spas, and housing estates/condos to be built. All of which need water & will be an increasing drain on a dwindling supply, managed by inefficient dolts.

Bloody brilliant, isn't it?

I really think that they're rationing water now - they have in the past.
We were off for a week, but my wife's family had some.
Now they're off and we're on.
Don't believe a word that the water people tell you.
AND, Songkran coming along. Give me a break.
