Thanks, didn't know that. Not that it makes any difference, this season is a wash for me. I'm haunted by magpie evil spirits!

I bet we now see a lot of controversy in the press from Arsenal and Manchester that the entire league should have been called off. They may be right and a good idea would be to cancel all if more than half can't play. Pete

The last thing the top teams want is a log jam of domestic fixtures at the end of the season when the money games start to come to fruition. Even more so with the World Cup just around the corner.

I can understand that. Wenger doesn't seem too happy though. Pete

"Before Arsenal's draw against Everton boss Arsene Wenger said he understood the reasons for the postponements, but added: "If one of 60,000 people has an accident, you feel very guilty and nobody accepts anymore that the slightest insecurity could exist in our society and that is why the games are postponed when there is no real need for it."
Wenger also argued that if more fixtures were called off, there was a case for the other matches on that day to go as well.
"The question you can ask is, for the fairness of the Premier League, if there are two or three games postponed, should the whole day be re-scheduled?," he said.
"Because if you play one team now who fights not to go down, and you play them again in May when they are already safe or already down, it is not the same game. That is where you can argue it is not fair sometimes for the competition."

i think wenger just stressed an open opinion :|

i don't think he can make any excuses for the game today, in fact we should be happy we got a less than deserved point from it  :D

everton were excellent today :thumb:

have to agree with b/boy, the last thing we need (& other teams for that matter) is a backlog of fixtures with the fa cup & champs league matches coming up, especially with our injury list  :(

Just caught up with this and my banker game in the week was cancelled and it shows me at 0 for the banker, whereas I was previously above that - so no idea what happens? Its academic anyway, as I had it on the Arse yesterday - still good results for Chelsea.

Think he may be relaxing in Hua Hin enjoying himself instead of thinking about enjoying himself in the sun :D

Odd schedule this week. Arsenal-Bolton twice within 3 days. I guess we'll see a lot of this in coming weeks to make up for the snowed out matches. They also carried over some of my picks from the postponed games. Pete

How the H does Tottenham go 0-0 with Hull. Was it snowing and the ball turned square? Another logically correct banker down in flames. :( Pete
