I thought most of them have underground heating these days - should be sufficient to melt a few cms of the white stuff!!
Re: Premier League 2024-25
The issue is not of the pitches being fit to use, its everything else, from ground safety to transport being disrupted, to the state of the roads around the ground, considering most grounds require some walking to after the initial travel.
Talk is cheap

Re: Premier League 2024-25
Arsenal and Chelsea did their best to help Liverpool’s quest for a second title this millennium- both serving up lack lustre performances to get draws. Man City were back to winning ways - in past seasons they’ve always had a strong second half to the season, but I’m sure that this year the gap is too big to close, so Liverpool’s to lose is my verdict.
At the other end of the table, Southampton don’t play too badly but still end up losing, so it would take a monumental run of games for them to avoid relegation - above them it’s all a bit tight, but if I were to name my contenders to join them, it would be Leicester and Ipswich.

It's between Leicester and Everton for that third spot
I recall posting end of last season that despite comfortably avoiding relegation(even with 8 points deducted) Everton were already in a relegation battle for this season. I was told I was being negative.
That has transpired, just can't score goals. Not scored in 8 of last 10 games.
I also said Leicester wouldn't go down - crikey I hope I'm wrong on that one!

The fact is you were being negative - accurate maybe - but negative nonetheless!!
Re: Premier League 2024-25
Didn't watch any of the games yesterday, work got in the way. But, seeing a clip of it, it appears Arse were hard done by with a penalty against them. Very sad.
Ange said he's not been so angry at a loss before having deserved to win the game against Newcastle. Not sure of the truth behind that but the first Newcastle goal was very unfortunate with the interception leading to the goal being achieved by the Newcastle player's hand. Ho hum.
I've lost a little interest in Spurs' results in the league, just focusing on us taking home the League Cup, FA Cup and Europa this season.

Liverpool have already won it this year, which doesn't bother me greatly. They deserve a win really after their damp squib covid title.Lost wrote: ↑Sun Jan 05, 2025 12:40 pm Didn't watch any of the games yesterday, work got in the way. ^ oops supposed to edit not quote
Christ, I only caught our first corner kick in the game where he passed it straight to a Newcastle player bless him.

Awful news for United fans has just surfaced. The game against Liverpool WILL go ahead as planned after weather threatened to postpone it.

I'm going 4 nil 'Pool.
Liverpool better not lose anywho, as then even United would be above us in the league.
