Yep, well done Scotland!

Huge credit for going for the w3in and not settling for the draw. But God only knows what the French full-back was thinking when he decided not to put the ball out with France in their own 22 and the clock in the red...

It's certainly a strange feeling to finish so far from the top.
But what am I saying, pharvey? It's a feeling you must be quite familiar with!

Oh, bitter and twisted doesn't suit you DM..... :neener:

Big hand to Scotland - cracking win :thumb:

[EDIT] Regardless of Wales winning, this really has been a great tournament with some cracking matches. Hats off to all teams and officials (even that man Barnes  ).

Well, despite a very smug Dai_L finishing top, a no doubt equally smug Lindosfan takes the title with regards to HH Forum members....

Not smug still 3rd in the league. I think you have more chance in a couple of the football leagues you are in. Certainly not as bad as your rugby forecasts. I still believe you are hustling   Good luck though and thanks for running this league, much appreciated.

Sam Cane: New Zealand captain out for up to six months with pectoral injury

https://www.bbc.com/sport/rugby-union/56600366

New Zealand captain Sam Cane has been ruled out for up to six months with a pectoral injury.

The 29-year-old tore a tendon playing in the Chiefs' Super Rugby Aotearoa win over the Blues on Saturday.

The Chiefs said Cane will have surgery next week and faces an expected recovery time of four to six months.

He will miss the All Blacks' Tests against Italy and Fiji in July, and potentially part of the Rugby Championship slated for the autumn.

"I'm obviously disappointed but also really positive that it's an easy fix," said Cane, who co-captains the Chiefs.

"I'm looking forward to getting into some rehab post-surgery and doing that really well, so I am coming back in good shape for the end of the rugby season, whatever rugby that may be."

All Blacks head coach Ian Foster added: "We are all disappointed for Sam, but we have full faith in the medical team around him and we wish him well for his surgery and rehabilitation.

"As All Blacks captain, he will still play a key role in our planning for the 2021 season, and we look forward to him returning to the footy field once his rehab is complete."

Watching Zebre-Bath (blimey, Bath really are going through a tough patch!) - What's the story behind the Zebre mismatched socks?

EDIT: And there's something about this commentator's voice that always irritates me - not Flats, I think his name is Gillingham.

Bath just not getting things right at the moment, but they missed Priestland today. The forwards were dominant, but Bath did not take advantage - again some serious lapses in defence which has been a concern for far too long.

You can't take it away from Zebre today though - they really went for it and scored a couple of fantastic tries. :thumb:

Watching London Irish vs Cardiff Blues now, and I'm not sure Bath would want to face either on current form.

[EDIT] RE: Zebre socks - I believe it is an acknowledgment/show of respect to "associated clubs" or "member clubs" in North West Italay/Parma. From memory, they (Zebre) are known as the "Club of the Northwest" or somthing similar (in translation  ).

Dear God.... Dai Young will not be a happy man and certain arses will be kicked!!

Cracking match, but Cardiff threw things away - WTF was Evans (Cardiff Flyhalf) doing with the "Glory Drop-Kick" when Cardiff had a penalty advantage in front of the posts??!! :cuss: Absolute TW@T!! Had the Muppet thought about the team, teamates or consequences rather than himself, Cardiff would have taken it. That kick alone cost Cardiff the match at the end of the day.

That said - London Irish deserved the win...... Bath seriously need to up their game AND defence to get past London Irish.

Didn't watch the game and just read the report. Presumably you mean that if Evans had just played on until the penalty was given, enough time would have been eaten up to prevent Irish getting that last-minute try? Was the penalty kick a gimme 3 points? Is there such a thing under pressure? Is it unreasonable to expect your team to hold out for 3 minutes?

Maybe just a tad harsh?

EDIT: Just seen 'in front of the posts', but even so...

There was a penalty advantage easily within kicking distance in the final minutes - he kicked a Drop Goal for Christ sake... He should of gone for a cross field kick and a potential try - missing that, Cardiff would have been given the penalty and could have run the clock down on (as they would have done so on the conversion, should the Try have been scored).

As I said, I honestly think London Irish deserved the win, but Cardiff threw it away. LI attack is superb, but they need to sort out the front 3/5 IMHO.

Apologies, my frustration gets the better of me at times......
