What a crazy season ! Last night was tailor made for the Spuds and Liverpool to get into the mix !
Chelsea now 1 point off the relegation places.....they badly need something from the match at Leicester tonight.

I could be wrong, but I suspect that if Chelsea fail against Sunderland, that mourinho will go and in many ways, if he does, he only has himself to blame. We had a woefully short pre-season leaving us behind other teams fitness wise and we just haven't progressed since last year, with either tactics or playing staff, bar Pedro. I'm really frustrated that Loftus-Cheek is still not being given a free-rein start and players at other clubs on loan, like Ake at Watford are beginning to shine.

I didn't see last nights game, but from what I have read his bold changes in the 53rd minute revived Chelsea to a degree. He needs to do that from the 1st minute now, that much is evident.

I'm sure statements like these will endear him to his players.....not :o

Jose Mourinho: Chelsea boss feels work was 'betrayed' by players
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said he felt his "work was betrayed" in the Blues' defeat by Leicester in the Premier League.
The defending champions suffered their ninth league defeat in 16 games with a 2-1 loss against the Foxes, who go top.
It leaves the club in 16th position, just a point above the relegation zone.
"One of my best qualities is to read the game for my players and I feel like my work was betrayed," said Portuguese boss Mourinho.
"One possibility is that I did an amazing job last season and brought the players to a level that is not their level and now they can't maintain it."

Thing is,if Mourinho goes who will they replace him with ? Ancellotti wont want to come back for sure.Guardiola,Simeone and Enrique wont consider it whilst they are in the Champions League.
Maybe the tried and trusted Gus Hiddink till the end of the season ?
Failing that.....Neil Warnock.....David Moyes :rasta:

Ancellotti has said he would be happy to return, but Chelsea won't sack Mourinho. Steve Clark and Gus Poyet are available! Give it to Terry for the season.

I think Arsenal might just win the title this season. Their best chance for a long time. Surely this is their year.

Sad news for me, think they have made the decision too soon. Should have waited longer before bringing the axe down.

I think we may see Chelsea soundly thump Sunderland. If they do, perhaps a sign of player relief and joy? Pete

Apparently not, "just" the balance of his salary until the end of this season which at a reported £160,000+ a week, is not exactly peanuts, but something between 3-4 million.

Wherever he has gone Jose has inherited a good team, improved it for a couple of seasons, then the cracks have started to show and he's off but nothing as alarming as what has happened at Chelsea this season.
It started going pear shaped for him at Stamford Bridge with his shoddy treatment of the club doctor,Dr.Eva Carneiro.
She was very popular with the players and its only human nature that some of the players would start to resent Mourinho. Then he started having a go at individual players.....bringing on Matic as a sub then taking him off after 20 minutes being a prime example.Saying he felt betrayed by his players this week was the final straw.
All the things that went wrong were never his fault. It was the fault of the referees, the media, the physios, the FA,the ball boys, the players etc.
Its his huge ego and the fact he can never admit to a mistake that have been his downfall. He must be a nightmare to work with/for after a while.
Where will he go to next ? I cant see it being Manchester United or Bayern Munich tbh.Maybe a big club like AC Milan who crave instant success after a few years in the doldrums.

Reaction from caller later ???

I really wanted him to stay, comedy gold for all non-Chelsea fans. Arsene Wenger will show sympathy, or no comment, in public but will be sniggering in private.

sad day for sports writers, never a slow news day with him around.
I agree his huge over-reaction at the action of the Dr and his refusal to apologise for his childish behavior cost him the support of many in and out of the club.
