You don't here them at Old Trafford so I can't see the tossers doing much at Anfield. :guns:

We've got the perfect games to kick start it then haven't we.

United have been awful this season but a fair few undeserved points have papered over the cracks.

Gerrard, Torres and Mascherano are all leaving in the summer according to this weekends rags.

Coincidently for the past few years all our players are leaving whenever we play United.

Can't think why they print this stuff on the day of the same two games every single season.

Image The two man team strikes again. You would think Gods own team would beat us when we are 50% weaker.

United were dire last night....Berbatov and Ferdinand worse than that. The only plus point for United is the return of Van Der Saar in goal.
Liverpool werent much better.Torres clinical finish probably the main difference between the two teams.
Cant see either of them doing much in the Champions League if they qualify for the knockout stages....quarter finals,if they are lucky.
I reckon the Premiership title is for Chelsea to lose....then Arsenal and Citeh....United and Liverpool scrapping for that vital 4th place, maybe.

I agree it was a shocking game in terms of quality, but it was exciting. The form of Ferdinand is a real worry (for England) and not just for the way he was brushed off by Torres for the goal.

I did think the referee a tad inconsistent?

But what of the other contenders? Arsenal were having a Sunday stroll against the Hammers, but seem to have lost the killer instinct and as happens in football at every level, when you take your foot off the gas its hard to get going going again when you let the other teram back in. Wenger must be tearing his hair out.

Haven't seen the City game, but with Fulham having a tough europa game against Roma on Thursday and then finding themselves 2-0 down, can only guess City did an Arsenal?!

Spurs should have won convincly, but we all know what happens if you don't take your chances.

I said at the start I could envisage three London teams in the top four, I still wouldn't rule against it.

Here's the world player of the year nominations.

FIFA will announce the names of the five players who have received most votes from national coaches and captains at the beginning of December.

The overall winner will then be named on December 19.

The full shortlist is: Michael Ballack (Germany), Gianluigi Buffon (Italy), Iker Casillas (Spain), Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal), Diego (Brazil), Didier Drogba (Côte d'Ivoire), Michael Essien (Ghana), Samuel Eto'o (Cameroon), Steven Gerrard (England), Thierry Henry (France), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Sweden), Andrés Iniesta (Spain), Kaká (Brazil), Frank Lampard (England), Luis Fabiano (Brazil), Lionel Messi (Argentina), Carles Puyol (Spain), Franck Ribéry (France), Wayne Rooney (England), John Terry (England), Fernando Torres (Spain), David Villa (Spain) and Xavi (Spain).

The list HERE is the nominations by each international captain. Some interesting selections. (Masch  )

Messi, Xavi, Iniesta/Torres/Ronaldo is the top 3 for me.

Ballack??????????? Image and I can't say I watch to much Italian football but surely Buffon gets in on name alone.

Half of it's on name alone though.

Kaka has done nothing this year, Torres and Gerrard were injured for half of the season, I think Lampard was poor by his standards?

Alonso was the best midfielder in the premier league last year and won the European Championship but isn't even nominated. Odd.

Infact, wasn't Essien (who I rate very, very, highly) out for half of the season?

Just a blatantly wrong shortlist. Image
